chessgames.com: <Lennonfan> For the last time, if you have an enquiry of that nature please direct it to chess@chessgames.com. Future posts to this forum questioning administrative actions will be deleted.
Mar-22-11  Lennonfan: Okay...thanks so much for your time, your always so helpful, what would i do without you answering my posts when im being serious about things?? And regarding directing complaints to chess@chessgames.com,or using the whistle blowing function,iv done that in the past, and its got me nowhere, not even a reply! So no matter how sarcastic your replys on here(im a fan of sarcasm by the way)il just address the particular users in question, without breaking rules of course(dont you guys worry lol)on there posts or forums..unless you want me to clog up your complaints function(i dont want to steal <jessicafischerqueens> thunder though? We know she's a shining light who only complains when she deems necessary!!! Every day im guessing?)...and i arne't *questioning your actions*so no need to delete this post...your actions are obvious....someone who posts 30,000 comments in 5yr,none regarding chess, can blow the whistle all she/he likes......even if it doesn't regard that particular person...il try that from now on.thanks
Mar-23-11  virginmind: <cg.com> maybe you should, uhm, give us a kibitzing page for the european individual chess championship (in aix les bains, france) which already had it's second round today...thanks.

chessgames.com: <virginmind> You got it: 12th European Invidividual Championship (2011)

<lennonfan> We just double-checked: for whatever reason, we can't find any email from you. All we can suggest is to mail us again.

Mar-24-11  Lennonfan: Cg.com...will do,and id appreciate it if its acted upon...thanks

Domdaniel: <CG> You'll remember to add the last round Amber games, please? The announcement on the homepage implies that it finished prematurely yesterday with just 10 rounds.
Mar-24-11  Lennonfan: <Cg.com..staff and admins>...il ask my girlfriend to email you from her laptop for me,as im on my phone, maybe thats the reason they haven't reached you??? Iv done as you instructed and blown the whistle regarding certain posts, but i admit iv "bitten back"to certain users in the msge's iv sent, and i shouldn't have as they only criticise anyway...but i thank you for your time,i no longer wish to take up anymore of your time regarding non chess matters on this forum.... One more thing...do you still upload all TWIC games,as there's one game from a TWIC published match played in january id really love you to upload...it'd make a great puzzle,or maybe even game of the day...i forget the players, but il find them right now and post the game(if im able?)...thank you...

Phony Benoni: A silly idea, probably unworkable. How about a match between kibitzers from the United States vs. kibitzers from the Rest of the World? I'm thinking of the US standing alone simpy as a matter of numbers..

This would probably be a non-computer game, since silicon has no nationality.

WannaBe: Yeah, an US vs Europe (Ryders Cup), or U.S. vs World (Presidential Cup) kinda of the thing!

I vote 2. Ke2!? for U.S.!!

WannaBe: In all seriousness, I am game, and I promise to not vote 2. Ke2 =)
Mar-25-11  Open Defence: yeah I would like that contest <PB>

Annie K.: Doesn't the US *already* think that it's them against the rest of the world? ;)

Hmm, dunno if that's a good idea - it could be a little divisive - so I'll stay out of it. However, this resulted in a moment of free-association --

<The CG.com World Team would beat any other World Team!>

... just a claim that could reasonably made any day around here...

But one day, Kirsan will be lurking. And he'll *call his friends*. Next thing you know, a message comes from outer space:

<Greetings, CG.com Earthlings. So you think you can play Chess?

<<<<<<>>>>>>>

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :p

Mar-25-11  Thanh Phan: <Annie K.> <Greetings, CG.com Earthlings. So you think you can play Chess <<<<<<>>>>>>> Did try click because it was Green! lol

<U.S. vs World (Presidential Cup) kinda of the thing!> National Pride from players might make game an icon for "Interesting times"

Oh and this came later...

chessgames.com: USA vs the Rest of the World sounds like a very fun idea.
Mar-26-11  LIFE Master AJ: No response?

I was curious as to why the Tillis game had been deleted? Am I being blacklisted? Wassup?

Mar-26-11  Knight13: <chessgames.com> Thanks you! Your support will definitely help make the match a reality in the future.
Mar-27-11  LIFE Master AJ: http://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain...

Knock, knock, anyone home?

I would like to know why the game with B. Tillis was deleted. He's a decent player. In Dothan, he drew me, and defeated IM Emory Tate.

I thought the game itself was pretty good. I won a Pawn, but was unable to make progress in a Q+P ending.

WHY WAS THIS GAME REMOVED???

Mar-27-11  Lennonfan: <life master goldsby>...when you say "knock knock is there anybody there"...even if somebody is,you must understand that its you knocking, about a game you won "a pawn"in...and no one's probably interested...and the game was probably removed because the ppl who hide in the shadows have complained that your game was woefully weak, and nothing can be learned from it...(im not saying that..but il bet you some ppl are)..why dont you just do what lots of ppl do and post the game in the kibitzers cafe, then its there for all to see if they wish? Thats what i do...and most others do also

  kingscrusher: Hi Chessgames.com

I have just seen an interesting idea, which may be good for long term marketing of Chessgames.com.

Can you add the option on a game, to post a comment about the game from within facebook?!

E.g. if you check out:

http://chesspo.st/G43

You will see on bottom right, there is option to comment via facebook. This comment now appears on my facebook profile. I think you might also be able to do the same with Twitter as well.

So basically for any game here, two "Share game options" essentially - facebook and twitter - but actually to share a comment - which links back to the Chessgames.com game.

kingscrusher: Further to my previous post, I think it is the "Comments plugin" :

http://developers.facebook.com/docs...

This might be a good comments sharing resource to consider for development later this year.

  jessicafischerqueen: Re-Post- translation

<juan31>:

"I think the game suggestion function for guess the move isn't working properly. Yesterday at about this time I submitted a game suggestion and it said that I'd find out in 13 hours if it qualified or not. Today the notice said my submission had not yet qualified. Three hours later I checked it again, and it said wait for three hours more and check. After three more hours had passed I checked again and it still said to wait for three hours and a bit. I'd be thankful if you looked in to this problem for me."

Mar-30-11  NakoSonorense: Hold it, Jess. When did you learn Spanish? Your translation is flawless! Good job.
