Yep, on Sony Tablet S (but not on iPad 2)

WannaBe: <rogge> Thanks!! So it's not just me, (see, all my psychiatrists are WRONG!!)

Also, I see it with both the built-in browser and the Dolphin Android browser...

chessgames.com: <2. Interesting observation, if a page, have 2 links to the target (e.g. avatar of <Phony Benoni> and the forum link, the forum link would not work, but the avatar link would.>

I'm still a bit confused at what you're witnessing. You mean in any general case or just with regards to avatars?

Suppose somebody posts < I like www.yahoo.com, hurray for www.yahoo.com > then the first link would work and the 2nd one would be a fake? Is the 2nd link even colored like a link, or does the phone magically delinkify it?

We have an Android, an iPhone, and one of those brand-spanking-new iPads to test this out on.

WannaBe: <CG> Yes, I would tap on the second link (coloured, like a regular web-link), e.g. <Phony Benoni Forum> and nothing would happen, but if I tap the avatar, it would take me to the forum.

It's general case, seems like if multi-ple links (on the same page) that goes to the same target, only the first link will work...

chessgames.com: Daniel spent 5 minutes examining the code behind Recent Chessforum Activity page and then muttered "thank God I'm a genius."

See if it works now. :)

Mar-22-12  rogge: <"thank God I'm a genius." See if it works now>

Yes and yes :)

Mar-22-12  LIFE Master AJ: BTW - I am for ANY measure which puts a cap on the trolls ruthless abuse of this site.

WannaBe: <CG> Looks like I can confirm <rogge>'s post. Can I ask what was different? Or what did Daniel change?

Also, no need for Daniel to thank me. =))

Mar-22-12  hatsis: CG.com, you said a while back that you are a business entity. My guess is that you are a private business. Are you going public soon or stay as mom and pop store? I wonder if we can jump in your IPO anytime soon?
Mar-23-12  twinlark: <Wipe it all.> Amen to that brother.
Mar-23-12  LIFE Master AJ: As for remorse or for guilt, I have absolutely none. I think most people realize that I usually stick to chess (for the most part) and have only failed when trying to respond to these persistant attacks.

IF CG had really wanted to, they could have put a stop to this nonsense almost 10 years ago, when it first started. However, the fact remains that - for a long, long time - they did absolutely nothing.

jessicafischerqueen: <Robed Bishop> "detente" is not accurate. The war is already over by force, since Daniel locked comments on AJ's game pages.

If anyone follows AJ to precious historical games pages for the purpose of attacking or stalking another user, that person will be put on probation, same as last time.

It's over. Let us celebrate with the adding of chocolate to milk, or with some equally festive activity.

Mar-23-12  crazybird: Why post and spend time here, AJ, if CG is such a miserable platform for you? You should just take your battle to the court of law and let them address your grievances.

Stop firing at CG through their own platform.

Mar-23-12  positionalgenius: So... only a couple weeks after this "war" ended looks like people are already angry again... hmmm. Very sad. On a chess related note, are we having any GM commentary for the upcoming Anand-Gelfand match CG?

chessgames.com: <On a chess related note> BLESS YOU positionalgenius <are we having any GM commentary for the upcoming Anand-Gelfand match CG?> We're trying to strike an agreement for somebody even better than a GM ... a WGM! ;-)

That's all we can say for now, more news to follow :)

  chessgames.com: <twinlark: <Wipe it all.> Amen to that brother.> And a hallelujah.

Some people have figured out a little trick. Normally posts at CG are permanent: other than that 1-hour window you get at first, you can never retract anything you say.

But what if you *want* your posts to be temporary? What if you have something to "get off your chest" that you'd prefer not to be quoted on later on?

Well, the ideal location to post it is the Chessgames Support Forum! Everybody will get to read what you have to say and then it will vanish. It's much better than that pesky The Kibitzer's Café where your posts actually remain.

I know not everybody who posts here is thinking that, but one person has already been placed on probation for posting off-topic content here, so please think before posting.

chessgames.com: <LIFE Master AJ> <I am not going to publicly air my grievances> That's right, you're not. Not on this page anyhow.

<hatsis> <I wonder if we can jump in your IPO anytime soon?> One of the owners may be interested in diversifying if the price was right. If you are serious, email chess@chessgames.com and we have some Non Disclosure Agreements you can sign.

<Penguincw: Are guesses allowed?> Guess away, but we won't tell you if you're right :)

I'll figure it out by May 28th (the last day of WCC, in case they throw in a last round surprise).
