| Jul-24-13 | | CaringLuv: I plan to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105, which is an Android phone, soon. Can i play through the chess games in the database with an Android phone like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105? |

 | | chessgames.com: <CaringLuv> We've never tested that specific platform but I am fairly certain it will work for you. Androids and iOS devices are automatically switched to the pgn4web viewer which seems to function fine on mobiles. |

 | | chessgames.com: <41st Annual World Open> The PGN is still a little spotty with this one, we're still working on it. Ditto for Swiss Championship (2013) which is still missing most of round 9. |

| Jul-26-13 | | LIFE Master AJ: Once more - I will ask you to put a STOP to the stalking ... <TheFocus> / <JoergWalter> / <MarkFinan> / etc. All you ned to do is look at every page that I have kibitzed on. A constant group of individuals follow me all over this site and make the most disgusting types of personal attacks. How long will you tolerate this kind of nonsense? |
|
| Jul-26-13 | | MarkFinan: <Caringluv> Yes you can, just download a pgn viewer first. Then when you come to CeeGee and download any games just follow the steps, its really easy. Daniel and.Admins. Have you ever considered a Chessgames.com app?? From a business point of view its a great idea, and it'd be really helpful for dummies like me who want to post a game as soon as its been played straight to their forum, or any other page or forum here for that matter. It'd be especially helpful for people who use their iPhone's and smartphones to visit this site. Maybe you should look into it? When i was installing various chess apps to my phone i noticed chess.con has one, but i can't remember if they actually charge for their app. And will you please inform LMAJG THE 1ST ( Oh come on, haha!) that i haven't been "stalking" him at all, i made 2 or 3 comments on Ivanovs player page where he just happened to have been arguing and accusing people of cheating. I'm not bothered in the slightest what that "man" gets up to, i just made an opinion on the subject of cheating, which is where everybody else is talking about the exact same thing.
If he continues to make false accusations about me il take the argument away from this site and inform the relevant people about his wrongdoings.. You really should look into the app idea though, if i had a fairly large internet site on a game like chess i definitely would. Peace out :) |

| Jul-26-13 | | MarkFinan: Caringluv... Once you get your phone come post in my forum and il explain everything about how you go through the games in the database with an android :) |

 | | WannaBe: <chessgames.com> Just curious, why there is no live game for this year's Dortmund tournament. |

 | | Check It Out: <LMAJ> Use the "Blow the Whistle" function if there is a post you believe breaks the posting rules. <chessgames.com> has repeatedly stated that they do not want to process complaints of this nature here in their forum. |

| Jul-27-13 | | LIFE Master AJ: What a tremendously fair solution! You should blacklist me from any page that I comment on ... and the same group of individuals follows me there. (Which I have no control over.) An asylum ... run by the inmates ... |

 | | Peligroso Patzer: Today's game between Bacrot and Nepomniachtchi (1/2 - 1/2, in 38 moves) is not yet in your games database, nor is it reflected in the current standings for Biel (2013). |
|
| Jul-27-13 | | TheFocus: <AJ> As long as you insult members on this site, I will be there to defend them and to throw rocks at you. If you post a lie, I will expose it.
If you unnecessarily brag, I will be there to shoot you down. I left you alone for the most part after the suspension, but when you attacked <Eric Schiller> through me (for the second time, I might add), you bit off more than you can chew. I will repost this in my Forum in case it gets deleted. |

The British chess championship starts Monday :

Best wishes K |

 | | kingscrusher: Hi Chessgames
Fantastic to have the British Championship up - many thanks. One slight issue I noticed:
Gawain Jones played John Reid in Round 1 on Board 1 - a game I followed. G Jones vs J Reid, 2013
"John Reid" seems to hook up with the wrong player homepage here. He didn't look 80 years old last time I saw him the Middlesex League - playing for Hackney. His FIDE ID code is: 418927
Is it worth having greater FIDE ID code integration with the player homepages here (relevant only for after 1970 when FIDE ratings started coming out) With his FIDE ID code, you can also cross reference with the ECF database which shows the FIDE ID code: http://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecfg... Cheers, K |

 | | kingscrusher: On the other hand it is nice to see a game from 1958 from the other John Reid, which I wouldn't of otherwise stumbled on: P Lindblom vs J Reid, 1958

|
Jul-30-13
 | | chessgames.com: <Why are people allowed to moderate their own player pages?> It's a feature that was intended, mostly, to allow GMs to feel comfortable participating on their own player pages. Later some non-GMs received the same privilege. Not all players have the privilege: they have to ask for it first, usually after some incident that demonstrates that they need it. Then they receive special documentation that explains how self-administration works, and it includes the following explanation: <The intended purpose of the Self-Administration feature is to allow certain users to exercise editorial control over the discussions on their player page, but not to terminate the on-topic discussion entirely, nor to prevent normal discussion.Chessgames Services LLC (a Florida company) reserves the right to administer all pages on its web site, including the page dedicated to your chess games, as it sees fit. This includes the right to override any administrative decisions that you make, and the possibility of revoking your administrative powers.> |

| Jul-31-13 | | ooda: Hi <chessgames> I was wondering if you could please remove my comment from page 2 of Awonder Liang's page? I just realized that it's probably a bit mean to make such a comment on a young persons page, and he might actually read it himself. Sorry for the trouble and thanks. |
