 | | chessgames.com: <kingscrusher> A "stickied" option is a good idea. Currently the way it works is that we intentionally stick it near the top, but then new tournaments come which displace it, until we notice it's almost off the page and we hurriedly stick it near the top again (which I just did). <Diademas: I think you have the score in Bilbao Masters wrong. They use football-score (3-1-0).> It seems we forget about that every year! We just switched it over to 3-1-0 scoring, thanks. <falso contacto: This is the game: D Khismatullin vs M Al-Modiahki, 2013> That's pretty cool. I liked the Ba4 idea. <Bundesliga> We're pulling in the games now, it will be homepage material soon. <Octavia: I would never support [the Rolls Royce] company because they also make weapons.> Your point well taken. Just from a marketing perspective, I think we should replace it with a testimonial page anyhow. I don't even want to consider the legal perspective. <I don't approve of <be treated like a king>> It's always been an odd slogan for a chess site. Chess players know all too well that kings are not treated well, but rather beheaded! <<cg> is that because I have ads turned off? If so, you may want to be aware of the issue...> You are absolutely right, that was a bug. Some ads are supposed to be specifically exempt from the "no banner ads" feature and that is supposed to be one them. We just fixed the issue. |

| Oct-14-13 | | Blunderdome: Speaking of marketing, page 9 of the Premium tour says that there have been over a million comments posted on the site. While this is still true, it's a bit dated. |
|
| Oct-14-13 | | Blunderdome: <OCF> notes that there is a surviving <JoergWalter> post at Yifan Hou. It's not chess-related and is a tad misogynistic, so you might as well toss it out with the rest. |

| Oct-15-13 | | Robed.Bishop: There are others still around. |

 | | OhioChessFan: <It's not chess-related and is a tad misogynistic, so you might as well toss it out with the rest.> If that criterion was uniformly enforced, there'd be another 100,000 posts deleted and the Kosteniuk page would have no kibitzing. |

 | | kingscrusher: <chessgames.com:> Yes that is what I mean. Technically you could behind the scenes assign dates to those items (and order by descending date, with some items future date stamped so at the top), and even have a calendar view for upcoming events to be seen by a Calendar. Cheers, K |

Premium Chessgames Member Thanh Phan: <: A J Goldsby> a chance you could possibly update your information on your site? Karpova chessforum has some information that might help provide clarity to your pages geared toward history and biographies>Her finds same results, actual disgust at limp attempts towards history of game, grow a pair and update, improve, and provide <actual informations about the game history> and not her feeble attempts at rewriting game information as your personal site suggests. |
|
| Oct-15-13 | | Alien Math: chessgames.com if one only provides links toward lame feeble and pure drug biased attempts at history, could you at least enforce or allow to be enforced, the posting guildlines of 2. No spamming. advertising. or duplicating posts.? Her beginnings to harbor doubts toward yours as viewing chess history as actual history and not some <allow the golden poster child anything it wants and call it chess history and facts> It's site provides zero info towards actual info, and complete support to providing inaccurate information, lame for a site |

 | | OhioChessFan: As for the <JoergWalter> situation, IMHO after you accepted the plea to delete all his posts, for him to come back under a new user name is a total moral outrage. I appeal to you to reinstate all his previous posts. Thanks. |

 | | Check It Out: <CG> What with learning that Kasparov is running for the top FIDE spot against Kirsan I looked for the FIDE forum and couldn't find it. Have you thought of putting one up?
Also, Ilyumzhinov's bio is woefully short at all of two sentences. There's nothing in there about aliens, politics and murder, or what it's like to be a minor Russian dictator with a fantasy chess city. Now seems like a good time to expand it. |

 | | chessgames.com: <JoergWalter>'s account is disabled (it appears to be deleted but for technical reasons it still exists) however all of his kibitzing has returned. We have decided it is a very poor precedent to honor such requests to remove old kibitzing, and therefore rescinded our previous action. We may be convinced to act otherwise if the circumstances are exceptional, but we have no reason to believe this is an extraordinary circumstance. We have been in email contact with him regarding the issue. |

 | | chessgames.com: <Kasparov is running for the top FIDE spot against Kirsan> Yes, exciting news! I think the Kasparov page is the best place for such discussion. |

 | | chessgames.com: <Thanh Phan> <Alien Math> I'm not sure why you bring these matters to this page; you all have chessforums of your own where you can discuss these issues. |

<LIFEĀ MasterĀ AJ: Someone please (PLEASE!!!) post the following on the Borislav Ivanov page. (Currently, I cannot post there, more of DF's incredible genius for spotting I'M AN IDIOT!!!!.)> I thought my editing put things into a clearer and more truthful perspective? I get it... humour at anyone's expense is not welcome here ✌ |

| Oct-15-13 | | Alien Math: <chessgames.com> An expresion of many thanks for reading and not discard her query, it appears you should ammend <2. No spamming, advertising, or duplicating posts.> from her posting guidelines, as <A J Goldsby> appears to be free from such rules, others should be allowed the same favors, to allow advertising of their sites. |
|
| Oct-16-13 | | Abdel Irada: <We have decided it is a very poor precedent to honor such requests to remove old kibitzing, and therefore rescinded our previous action.> I applaud this decision. Precedent is forever: If anyone else wanted all of his posts deleted, and had at least as good an argument for it, you would be hard put to refuse, and that could only lead to chaos. ∞ |
|
| Oct-16-13 | | hedgeh0g: <chessgames.com: We have been in email contact with him regarding the issue.> Did he, by any chance, mention why he decided to return under a variety of new handles? |
|
| Oct-16-13 | | Thanh Phan: Thank you <chessgames.com>, for my reasoning on putting the question here, I am a bit more certain he is willing to view this page then my own, I held hope that he might decide information was more then enough reason to update his page and wished for a more visible presence for my question, hope gathers |

| Oct-16-13 | | kellmano: <chessgames> Perhaps it's worse precedent to repeal a decision when the mob shouts? That said, it would be worst of all to repeal a repeal when one individual suggests it. |
|
| Oct-16-13 | | Abdel Irada: <kellmano: <chessgames> Perhaps it's worse precedent to repeal a decision when the mob shouts?> I think this question presumes what is not in evidence: that the decision was repealed because of public outcry rather than simply because the admins realized the decision was a bad one. ∞ |
