 | | Annie K.: <chancho> aha, thx. I saw both posts, was just curious why they keep disappearing. ;) <cg> heh, you're in a mood today! :D |
| Jun-11-14 | | Benzol: <chessgames.com> <<serious accusation> Yes, a very serious accusation. Surely, that's a new low.> He certainly has the uncanny ability to try your patience and he has tenacity. Every time I think he's hit Bedrock he manages to keep digging. |
| Jun-12-14 | | TheFocus: It is a new low, but I am not surprised. I do tip my hat to Daniel for ignoring this attack. Thank you Daniel for not stepping into the gutter with this scum-laden member. All respects to you! |
| Jun-12-14 | | TheFocus: I deleted that user's previous attacks on Daniel in my Forum and told him I would do so again. |
| Jun-12-14 | | MarkFinan: All this "New low" stuff is just as ridiculous as AJ himself! It's not a new low, he's accused people of far far worse, it's just the person he's chosen to insult this time happens to own the site. |
| Jun-12-14 | | TheFocus: <Mark> You are actually right. He has accused people of far worse, but to attack Daniel in this way is pretty sorry behavior. |

 | | chessgames.com: Yes, I know, we swat that fly every day it seems. I wish the official site would just spell the man's name out. Well, only one round left. |

 | | Annie K.: Well, at least there's only one Karjakin in this tournament. ;s |

 | | Domdaniel: <Could someone knock up a quick page for the 1992 Short - Karpov candidates final?> Short-Karpov was the semifinal, if memory serves. I think the final was Short vs Timman. As Kasparov said, when asked how the match would go: "It will be Short, and it will be short". |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <offramp>
The Biographer Bistro is the best place to request a new page being "quickly knocked up." The only better place I can think of might be the back seat of my boyfriend's old Rambler. Seriously though, great idea- if you have any resources that might help in creating a <1992-Short- Karpov> candidates match, please help out in the Bistro? |
| Jun-12-14 | | TheFocus: <offramp> < Could someone knock up a quick page for the 1992 Short - Karpov candidates final?> You can start with this collection and recreate it, add the proper dates, and do an intro: Game Collection: 1992 Short - Karpov Candidates Semifinal. |

 | | Domdaniel: <Jessica> -- < the back seat of my boyfriend's old Rambler.> Is that some class of a motor vehicle, ma'am? Or is it about a bicycle? Sir Myles. |

 | | FSR: I'm itching to submit a pun for Caruana-Karjakin but I can't because you haven't assigned it a number yet. It's still in "chesslive" format. :-( |
Jun-14-14
 | | chessgames.com: <Gottschalk> There are people who have been waiting for weeks or even months to see their games processed. Please use the PGN Upload Utility feature. Other notes: D Kryakvin vs D Khismatullin, 2011 was in the database. We had the Beskronny game but under the spelling "Beskrowny" (not sure which is preferred, if either). Also, we can't accept the Cochrane game with date "????.??.??". If somebody can make an educated guess as to the year, we can put a note in the start of the game that says the year is approximate. |
| Jun-14-14 | | crawfb5: The Cochrane-Popert game appears in George Walker's game collection published in 1844. Cochrane was back in England on leave from either 1841-3 (Wikipedia bio) or 1841-2 (Cochrane obit in The Chess Player's Chronicle). Best guess so far is 1841 or 1842. |
Jun-14-14

Jun-14-14
 | | Domdaniel: <CG> -- This seems to be one of the games in Gottschalk's list: Hammond / Howard / Richards vs Lichtenhein/Loyd/Marach, 1860 I still don't see how a game from 1860 belongs to a 'telephone' event. |
| Jun-14-14 | | crawfb5: <Dom> Can't be a <telephone> game based on the date, but could very well be a <telegraph> game. IIRC, the first telegraph games were in the mid-1840s. |
| Jun-15-14 | | MarkFinan: When you guys have time, is there any chance you can change GM Wes So's bio now he's switched feds. He's no longer a Filipino, he was born there but he's no longer a Filipino citizen. Thanks guys 😃 |
