Fusilli: <CG> Sorry for not using a correction slip, but I think you should take care of this right away because it's about the ongoing US championship and it has generated confusion.

For some reason, the page Nakamura vs T Gareev, 2015 shows the game without the final result. The page that does show the result seems to be this one: Nakamura vs T Gareev, 2015.

This was the game that you were broadcasting live. A glitch that you want to look at before it happens again.

offramp: Here is a good quote. I think there is or was a specific page here for quotes but I can't find it. So I'm putting it here:

<Ratt Boy: Note to self: Don't write notes to yourself.>

Tabanus: <CG> I'm ready to promote Game Collection: Biel Interzonal 1985 but the Librarian is on holidays again.

A Martin Gonzalez vs Ulf Andersson, 1985 needs to have 26.Ree1 (not 26.Re2), else the same, E Torre vs A Martin Gonzalez, 1985 needs 39...Bb7 (not 39...Rb7) and A Sokolov vs Van der Wiel, 1985 needs 35.Re5 (not 35.Re4) as in its correct "alternate score".

where is the page for Search Kibitizing tips/examples?

I'm having problems with LHS as "forum" or "player".

the format seems to be :
LHS : RHS string

I understand the other fields,
but LHS = user is only value I been successful with.

you should be able to search for a specific user in a specific forum/player, true?

I'd like to see a schedule of upcoming events, at least for the ones that will be appearing in the New Games section.

chessgames.com: <heuristic: <CG> where is the page for Search Kibitizing tips/examples?>

There isn't one, it works so simply we just post random "tips".

<you should be able to search for a specific user in a specific forum/player, true?>

You should be, but it's not that good. The only real tool you have, other than straight text searching, is the user:_______ field.

Apr-14-15  zanzibar: Oh, and when might all those new player portraits get utilized?

Or is it all for naught?

Par exemple:

<Un célèbre doyen de CG, David Moody, beau comme un dieu, il manque encore un bon portrait de lui-même.>

Apr-14-15  zanzibar: And there's also these other causes célèbres:

<Max Judd, Albert de Rothschild, Charles A. Gilberg, Hermann Helms, Abraham Mocatta>

And there's also the business with <Gurevich, Goldin, Felecan, Bachler and Chow>.

Plus I should also submit <Milan Momic> and <edmund beronio>

Apr-14-15  Karne: <CG>, Is <MCarlsen> another Magnus Carlsen impersonator?
Apr-14-15  zanzibar: BTW- did the Fabio matter get resolved?

Just curious.

FSR: Can we change B Hayden to Bruce Hayden? I am pretty sure that is who it is. There are three games by "Hayden" in Chernev's <The 1000 Best Short Games of Chess> (the one game you have for B. Hayden is one of them), and the other two are explicitly games by Bruce Hayden.

chessgames.com: <zanzibar: Oh, and when might all those new player portraits get utilized? Or is it all for naught?> We haven't forgotten, we are going to upload them en masse along with the proper attributions.

Regarding user "Fabanio Caruana", we are forcing him to change his name before he can post again. So let's just say there is no reason to believe that it's really world #2.

About user "MCarlsen", again there is no reason to believe that it's the World Champion. The name is probably ambiguous enough to not violate our rules, but they haven't posted anything anyhow.

<I got 15-20 Capa games in the pipeline.> We're going to process some PGN shortly, sorry for the delay.

chessgames.com: <a glitch in the "find similar games"> This is fairly well known to us; it's a problem that has to do with transpositions in the first 5-7 moves. We want to replace the entire page with a different sort of utility that performs the same action with more accuracy.

Richard Taylor: <chessgames.com> I'm playing in the New Zealand Seniors again this year. It is also the Oceania Seniors although so far there is only one outside NZ player from Australia (but on the day there may be more). It starts tommorrow which I think is the 15th in the US but is the 16th here. It maybe the 16th there also.

Also playing is user Gordon Morrell.

Can you put this tournament up?

Here is a relevant link;

On this site:

http://www.newzealandchess.co.nz/

Thanks in advance if. Richard Taylor.

The age for a senior player is now 50+ years

Apr-15-15  scout118: <Chessgames.com> I would strongly suggest that you lock the Wesley So page for the duration of Gashimov Memorial 2 for the benefit of the GM whose name is on that page.

Let's see Wesley So play Carlsen, Anand, Caruana etal without all the distractions and childish nonsense ad nauseam!

Members who have chess-related topics can post in the relevant new tournament page, where off-topic comments can be readily deleted.

Post-tournament, perhaps Chessgames should start banning rabble-rousers.

OhioChessFan: Can you provide a link of recently promoted bios/tournaments somewhere on the Biographer's Bistro? Maybe for a week or two, just to have them readily available for a little bit of last second polishing before they get lost in the mix.

chessgames.com: <OCF> Is this the page you're looking for? New Tournaments. (It's the link that says "NEW GAMES" at the bottom of the New Games section on the homepage.)

<lock the Wesley So page> That seems a rather extreme solution.

<Richard Taylor: I'm playing in the New Zealand Seniors again this year. > Wonderful, and good luck. We'll see if we can get the PGN up.
