 | | chessgames.com: <Tab> I see that perfidious uploaded some games from that tournament a long time back (over a year ago), for example Z Barasz vs Z von Balla, 1912, but I don't see any trace of the missing games. perfidious's upload queue is currently empty. |

 | | Tabanus: <CG> Ok, thanks. Then I'll try to find out which 16 games are missing and send them to you. 365Chess have them all, if only they can be trusted. E Cohn vs Z Barasz, 1912 belongs to 18th DSB Kongress (1912). |

 | | Tabanus: <CG> And thanks for processing a lot of my slips! There is a bulk remaining on Site for US events (see my forum header), hope you will find time for those also. On Philip Remington England I found this pretty good picture (taken in or before 3 February 1926): http://images.npg.org.uk/800_800/8/.... It's on this site (I hope you can use it): http://www.npg.org.uk/collections/s... |

What do you think of my suggestion? |

 | | Peligroso Patzer: The game M E Osborne vs J Hawkins, 2015 is duplicated in your database. This causes Jonathan Hawkins to be credited with one more point than he has actually earned in the standings that appear on the page for the British Championships (2015). |

 | | chessgames.com: <E Cohn vs Z Barasz, 1912 belongs to 18th DSB Kongress (1912).> Got it. <The game M E Osborne vs J Hawkins, 2015 is duplicated in your database.> I merged them but that creates a real mess when you look at the comparisons of the games
http://www.chessgames.com/perl/dupe.... I didn't study it but there must be some repetition of moves in one of the games. If we find out the alternate score is correct, send in a correction slip to switch it back. |

 | | Tabanus: <CG> Thanks for/congrats with 18th DSB Kongress (1912) which now appears to be squeeky clean! <MissScarlett> It goes both ways. It also gives us a great hobby. They are surely thankful, in spite of the "history geeks" who give them loads of work. |

| Aug-04-15 | | MarkFinan: <Why are we thanking them for improving the site? They should be thanking us!> Scratchett.. One look at your racist posts in the cafe and being thanked is the last thing you can expect! I think the site's doing okay with or without you Scratchers. |

| Aug-04-15 | | Boomie: <Chessgames.com>
In the British Championships Tournament, there are duplicate games. M E Osborne vs J Hawkins, 2015
M E Osborne vs J Hawkins, 2015
This is especially annoying as it places Hawkins at the top whereas he's a half a point behind the leaders. |

 | | chessgames.com: Thanks for pointing that out. The two scores are considerably different (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/dupe...) so I'll assume the more recent version is updated and correct. |
|
| Aug-05-15 | | FairyPromotion: Another duplicate was pointed out yesterday by <Stonehenge>: Chukaev vs Keres, 1959 & Tschukajew vs Keres, 1959 |
|
| Aug-05-15 | | FairyPromotion: Also, I'll make a request:
Tarrasch vs K A Walbrodt, 1895 is a wonderful game by Tarrasch, but is not among his notable games. I think it deserves to be a GotD, but I personally can't think of any good pun to submit. Then I thought maybe it would be possible to use <34. ?> as a PotD (probably Sunday) at some near future. Just wanted to share it as an idea. Thanks for your understanding! :) |

Here's a game you should add to your collection (I'm linking to a kibitz that proves so). Huebner vs K Rogoff, 1972 (kibitz #28) |
|
| Aug-05-15 | | ughaibu: Thanks for the suggestion but I'd rather stick to games that I find interesting. |
