WannaBe: <CG.com> During live game (today) page was very slow to load, often I'd see black small boxes where pawns or pieces would be.

I think it's just heavy traffic, or someone's sending useless requests to jam up your server traffic. Right now (live game over), speed back to normal.

<WinKing> Java 8 Update 77 is <GOOD>.

I am WannaBe, and I approved this message.

Tabanus: <CG> Sorry, it started about 6:30 USA/Eastern and lasted until about the beginning of the live transmission. Same today (right now), but not so bad.

... in fact, right now it's fine again.

Mar-25-16  MarkFinan: For the 10th time in 2 months..

Who paid for my premium membership? I'm done with this site and Daniel Freeman the ignorant @#$%. This site is full of terrorist sympathiser's, Islamic nutcases, homosexual weirdo Brazilian stalkers, drunken retards and people who've never played a game of chess in their @#$%* lives. I want to refund whover bought the membership and be on my way.

chessgames.com: <Mark> I see you are in a spat over at the Kibitzer's Cafe. Admirably, you did not break any rules and reported those who did (who were swiftly punished, although we're still cleaning up untoward posts.)

Nevertheless, your anger is showing. Please don't do anything rash.

Please understand: It is our policy to allow people to anonymously pay for other people's memberships. That's a vow of confidentiality, and if we were to break that vow just one time, it would be meaningless for all time.

Your benefactor is free to let you know at any time. If they fail to make themselves known, they must have their own reasons that I'm forced to respect.

If you demand to forgo your remaining membership time I promise that it will either be added to the account of the benefactor or to the Rinus Scholarship fund.

Mar-25-16  MarkFinan: I've sent you an email Daniel and I don't know what else to say. I'm way too busy and wayyyy too old for all this.
Mar-25-16  MarkFinan: And before I go.. I've had a brilliant idea. Why don't chessgames dot com and Chessgames.com members submit their best, or most interesting games to this site privately by recording the games with a screen recorder, you create a YouTube channel under the "Chessgames.com members games" header (or whatever name you'd prefer) and I'll upload them all to one of my YouTube channels? I uploaded three 2 min blitz games over the last 2 days to a non chess related channel and they've had more views combined than AJ Goldsby's most "popular" video has in 3 years. Just an idea because this site seems to be the most popular chess site on the net....but some people don't even play the game!

Anyways.. I've sent you an email and I need an answer either way. I realize I'm putting you in a difficult position but like I said above I'm way too old for this now.

MissScarlett: <I'm very sorry, but I've received counsel to not discuss the matter at this time.>

I recommend you seek new counsel. To which end, I'm happy to take on the case. Why? Because I'll win, I always win. Regarding my fee, you could start by transferring <Finan>'s remaining membership over to me.

One more thing. Did I submit a game Reshevsky vs Katz? If so, I'm sure it was in the last batch that was uploaded. Perhaps there was an error with the PGN.

  offramp: <MarkFinan: And before I go.. >

Goodbye, Mark. Perhaps you could ask to transfer your remaining membership over to, e.g., Miss Scarlett. He'd make good use of it.

Mar-26-16  zanzibar: I was popping in to make a request for some <CG> time, but will defer given the other exigencies at hand.

chessgames.com: <morfishine> MissScarlet has been here far longer than her profile date indicates, has contributed quite a lot, and in spite of (or because of?) her constantly mocking demeanor we've become the best of frenemies.
Mar-26-16  MarkFinan: <MissScarlett: I always win. Regarding my fee, you could start by transferring <Finan>'s remaining membership over to me.>

Then meet your first loss...

<morfishine: This sock-puppet <MissScarlett> needs to be deleted. Condescending, obnoxious comments have no place here>

Daniel.. Transfer the remaining months of my premium membership over to <Morfishine>. Thank you :)

<chessgames.com: <morfishine> MissScarlet has been here far longer than her profile date indicates>

So he's right then. He's a stockmuppet.

<has contributed quite a lot,>

That's right. Making fun of a handicapped drunk in the cafe on a regular basis is a great contribution to chessgames dot com. She (You did say "She" right?) is a lovely woman. I've seen enough posts from Scratchett to make that call. She's a genuinely kind hearted warm human being.

<and in spite of (or because of?) her constantly mocking demeanor we've become the best of frenemies.>

Then you're looking for love in the wrong places, so to speak.

Anyways.. Would people like to submit their best chess games to my YouTube channel? You can keep the $10 per year your game will earn, people. I'm just saying if Chessgames.com doesn't create a YouTube channel dedicated to their 127275400000 members then I will.

I know what I'm doing with this YouTube stuff Daniel, so does JFQ, Annie, Kingscrusher, and quite a few more. I think it's best to keep them on one channel with the "Chessgames.com" banner and watermark for the videos.

If not and anyone else is interested reading this, send your games to me and I'll give you full credit and obviously the paltry amount of $$$ you'll earn a year. It'll pay for the wife's Xmas present? ;)

Mar-26-16  morfishine: <MarkFinan> Bro, drop me an email before you go

Mar-26-16  morfishine: <CG> To H___ with "MissScarlett", male or female, I don't give a rats arse

The fact you put up with or condone this person is highly questionable

Mar-26-16  MarkFinan: Easy Morf.. I don't have that email address anymore (The yahoo address?) so I don't have your email, mate.

I'm going to post in the cafe later or tomorrow and I'll leave you my email address. Be quick though because I'm pretty sure what I've got to say and the links and email correspondence I'll be posting will be deleted sharpish. I'll be back in 3-4 months no matter what though, trust me on that!

Btw.. We're 2-2 with Germany as I'm typing this out, Vardy just went Messi and scored a beautiful goal :)

offramp: I would also shout out for miss Scarlett. If one avoids that hideous kibitzers cafe which is like hell on earth then he is a very interesting though abrasive poster.

He has contributed a huge amount to this site.

If you avoid Kibitzers Cafe this whole site is fantastic.

Mar-26-16  MarkFinan: Cheers Offy.. I aren't playing around when I say put your money on England for the Euro's, mate. You know me I always tell it like it is, I said in February of 2014 (check search kibitzing?) that we'd be on the first plane home from Brasilia14 and I was wrong by <1 plane flightp. We were the 2nd out of 32 teams to get eliminated, but put money on England in the Euro's. I <really> think we have the best players in Europe right now, and we <obviously> have the best league in the world. Trust me on this like you've never trusted a bookie before.. Barring injuries England will win France16.
Mar-26-16  zanzibar: <If you avoid Kibitzers Cafe this whole site is fantastic.>

Ironic that the Cafe would be the natural first stop for a novice on the site.

BTW <offramp>, what's your opinion of that other often off-topic site - i.e. <Rogoff>?

offramp: <Mark Finan> thanks for that tip. Did ye know an Irishman likes a tip?

I'll be in Liverpool from May 20th for 4 days. I'll be staying in the transsexual area. I'm there for the Francis Bacon exhibition. I'm a "model".

Mar-26-16  morfishine: <MarkFinan> Ok

offramp: Dear Zanzibar. I never ever go to the Rogoff page. That is Bedlam and should be closed down. I think I've looked at it twice.

I'm glad Daniel removed it from the front page. That was because of the huge amount of complaints.
