| Dec-10-16 | | Caissanist: Apologies for bringing up a subject that I'm sure has been discussed before, but why is User: chrisowen not banned? Yes, I'll put him on ignore, but this is still annoying. |

 | | chessgames.com: Thank you everybody. I was thinking: if Chessgames were my son, he'd have a girlfriend and be asking to borrow the car. |

 | | chessgames.com: <Caissanist> Why is it "still annoying"? The ignore button: One click and you'll never see any of his posts again. As far as I can tell, he believes he is performing some sort of art. It's not personally my taste but some people apparently actually like it, or at least think it's funny. Moreover, who am I to judge that his art isn't good enough for publication? |

 | | Penguincw: Hi <cg>. A suggestion I would like to see. For the Holiday Clues Puzzle, could you make sure that red banner/notification at the top visible on every page, including the home page. I was visiting <cg> like normal (via. ChessBookie page) and I saw the banner, so clicked on it, saw the clue, went to search up some players on the home page, but saw the banner was gone, so went back to ChessBookie, but I realized the banner was still there (just didn't show up on some pages, like the home page). Thanks in advance. |

| Dec-10-16 | | AnimusEtOblivio: As <Penguincw> mentioned, it seems the Klu banner doesn't display on the home page. (At least at the time of the first Klue) |

Dec-10-16
 | | chessgames.com: Yes, there was a glitch with the prize banner on the homepage. I believe it is fixed now but we'll know for sure when the next clue is released. |

 | | keypusher: Happy birthday, cg!
Sorry to bother you at a festive moment, but I just uploaded a couple of games (Nyman-Skold, Stockholm 1943, and Barden-O'Kelly, Hastings 1948-49) to complete a game collection from a fun book, R.N. Coles' <Epic Battles of the Chessboard>. I would be grateful if you would add them to the database. |
|
| Dec-11-16 | | zanzibar: Please see this post about the Hastings game:

 | | chessgames.com: <keypusher> Sorry, but you'll have to check over the PGN to those games again. The Barden-O'Kelly game has 2...Nc6 and later 8...Nc6. I could probably guess what the mistake is but I'd prefer if you confirm. The Nyman-Scold game you uploaded starts has an inexplicable 15.Qxa4+ that I can't figure out for the life of me. |

Dec-11-16
 | | chessgames.com: Oh, it looks like Zanzibar has at least a sensible score for S Nyman vs K Skold, 1943. |
|
| Dec-11-16 | | zanzibar: OK, there seems to be some issues about the <Barden--O'Kelly> game, which I'll raise over at the Bistro... |

 | | keypusher: Thanks to you and <zanzibar>, the Nyman-Skold game has now been added. |

 | | Stonehenge: Also added is Globus vs Gross, 1884, which is already here: S Globus vs Gross, 1884. |

Dec-12-16
 | | chessgames.com: <which is already here> They are merged and now we have not only the pleasure of debating if/where a resignation took place, but also which rook delivered check on move 15. |

Apologies for sucking up so much of your and zanzibar's bandwidth for the sake of a couple of games. Since we know now where the Barden-O'Kelly game was played (see Biographer Bistro), I'd be happy to recheck and revise the PGN+header, but I don't know how to access it once I have uploaded it. |
|
| Dec-12-16 | | zanzibar: Glad to add a little (if I weren't, I wouldn't!). Nice collection, well worth filling out, thx <kp>. |
