Willber G: I presumed <gezafan> was doing a general web search.
Aug-07-21  Z legend of CG: He probably was...

"I even tried different browsers. Same thing. They all act in lockstep."

Nonetheless, I still think the <CG> search should return the US tn as #1 and not the Canadian, Czech, or Dutch ones:

Tournament Index search: "1972 US Chess Championship"

(Just having a bit of fun, though the point remains)

<Z> It's so long ago and I'm so thick that I am bound to get it all wrong. The only thing I know for sure is <Miss> posted "Well he has <an> I.P. address." I must have laughed for hours when I read that.

I think <Miss> was <Jane Eyre> at that point? Or was it <Jayne Mansfield>...

Aug-07-21  nok: <<Miss> posted "Well he has <an> I.P. address." I must have laughed for hours when I read that.>

S/he really wrote "I.P." with dots? That's hilarious ngl

  jessicafischerqueen:

<nok> tbh I don't remember if <MissScarlett's> original post had "I.P." with dots!

Interestingly, in Canada we call these dots "periods" or "ants."

Both are popularly used terms over here.

I had no idea you were also a <N'golo Kante> fan!

One of the very best footballers of the past decade, in my opinion...

Here's <Daniel>'s original editorship offer to <Missy>, from 2014!

It took what, two more years, for the couple to formalize their relationship!

<MissScarlett> Well said!

I am proud to show the actual footage of you making this heroic assertion before Britain's Assembly of Lords: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cdm...

<Zanzibar> fans will recognize his notable cameo at the end of this scene, as portrayed by Kim Hunter.

Look at those eyes shine! It's obvious how proud Zanzibar (Kim Hunter) is of <MissScarlett>.

Jolly good show the both of you!!

Aug-08-21  Z4all: Well, if <Missy> insists on being No. 6, I'll have to pick McKern for my version of No. 2.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zal...

The metal heads would probably like this version best:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Tb... (Missy's out front in the tank top, vocal and stylish as always)

Now if I'm to pick a female lead, there's many other choices to consider, e.g. Emily Noether, Madame Curie, Barbara McClintoch, C.S. Wu, Irene Adler Norton, and if I can't be No. 1, then No. 8:

Be seeing you!

It's stunning how easily some just throw out casual mean spirited "drive by" insults for absolutely no reason except for self-aggrandizement and self-gratification.

No evidence of contemplation, gravitas, or actual thought of any kind.

Easily the laziest form of communication.

<Jim> lol I have yet to see any gratuitous insult from <Willber G>?

I was referring to the comment that <Willber G> was referencing:

<George Wallace: What a circle jerk.>

=================

On that topic, I do not remember seeing any gratuitous insulting from you. I certainly look forward to seeing some in the future though, if you have your heart set on it.

I do remember you sticking up for me on several occasions at times when I really appreciated it. I also remember you absorbing a great deal of gratuitous insults from me directed towards you- none of which you repaid in kind. Instead, you patiently pointed out the error in my logic and graciously accepted my subsequent apology. I really threw egg all over my face on that one.

Does that count amirite.

What are you a mind reader now?

I posted that comment because the series of comments on the page made me want to puke.

I expressed myself fully, honestly, and without pretensions, like a <true artist>.

The endless line of cloying drivel was unbearable.

It's one thing to waste gobs of time arguing politics on the Rogoff, but this endless nonsense is even worse. One or two cute comments are tolerable, but an endless stream is like, how shall I put it, watching a Price Is Right marathon from the late 70s.

I think it's a kind of internet Tourette's.
