Jun-28-22 | | Z free or die: Ever wonder how we got here?
Sure you do.
But it's OK to say that you're sad...

Jun-28-22 | | Z free or die: <Therefore there was no need for another free speech zone. #spinning> |

Jun-28-22
 | | Check It Out: <GW> Nope. You created a website, invited all your friends for the insightful discussions, and after a few faltering comments nobody showed up. |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | Willber G: <Blog from Brazil: Rogoff is gone..wow! Jesus..I wonder what <saffuna> and <nok> will do with their lives from now on.. heh heh heh> You forgot <George Pawn> and <diceman>. <<george> open your forum..> Like you, he can't do that. |

 | | Willber G: <Cheapo by the Dozen: I'm a free speech extremist, but that's centered on the communication of ideas. If a private organization just wants to limit the form of expression (no swearwords, no spam, etc.), I may or may not roll my eyes, but I'll usually support their right to enforce such a rule.> As a paying member, the least I would expect is a notification and explanation for a decision like this. Adding this to my other misgivings regarding the poor running of this site, my membership will not be renewed. |

 | | saffuna: <As a paying member, the least I would expect is a notification and explanation for a decision like this.> I guess it's like blowing the whistle. No response, no reason if it's rejected, not even an acknowledgement it's been received. You can never know its fate unless the player says he received a suspension. |
|
Jun-29-22 | | Z free or die: <As a paying member, the least I would expect is a notification and explanation for a decision like this. > Yes, a valid point - it's called due process, as important, if not even more so, than free speech (or any property right). It's fundamental, my dear Ms. Watson. . |
|
Jun-29-22 | | Z free or die: (Oops, forgot to put <Wilber G> in the quotation, sorry) |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | Willber G: I would have preferred <Willber G>, but the thought was there! ;-) |
|
Jun-29-22 | | Z free or die: Crap - I've made that mistake at least once before! Humblest apologies (from a not-so-humble guy!). |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | Willber G: Don't worry, it's closer than <Wilbur>. |
|
Jun-29-22 | | nok: Yes, there's a distinct lack of glasnost with the site. Like what's up with <Messiah> being banned every other day? <Willber> is right not to renew until less amateurish protocols are set. |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | saffuna: If all the Rogoff posts have been deleted, at the very least they should be eliminated from my total number of posts on the sites. They haven't been. |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | Willber G: I wonder if the previous board has been archived or if it was obliterated. |
|
Jun-29-22 | | George Wallace: < Check It Out: <GW> Nope. You created a website, invited all your friends for the insightful discussions, and after a few faltering comments nobody showed up.> As <dice> would say, “Liar mouth engaged” |
|
Jun-29-22 | | George Wallace: < Willber G: <Cheapo by the Dozen: I'm a free speech extremist, but that's centered on the communication of ideas. As a paying member, the least I would expect is a notification and explanation for a decision like this. Adding this to my other misgivings regarding the poor running of this site, my membership will not be renewed.> Perhaps for the first time ever, I agree with Wilbur. |
|
Jun-29-22 | | diceman: <Cheapo by the Dozen: I'm a free speech extremist, but that's centered on the communication of ideas. If a private organization just wants to limit the form of expression (no swearwords, no spam, etc.), I may or may not roll my eyes, but I'll usually support their right to enforce such a rule.> It may not be for for anything said, but just to give Ken Rogoff a clean chess page. |
|
Jun-29-22 | | johnlspouge: Hi, there. Is this the new Rogoff page? :) |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | perfidious: <saffuna>, the posts since March have been subtracted from the totals, while the numbers from the archived content have not (so far). <nok....Like what's up with <Messiah> being banned every other day?> That might well have happened a while back, but what is so special that he should get muzzled now? So far as I have seen, his content has not changed in any significant way--it is the same banal nothingness. |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | Willber G: <johnlspouge: Hi, there. Is this the new Rogoff page? :)> This is the page where CG management 'communicate' (lol) with us. |

 | | gezafan: <Willber G: As a paying member, the least I would expect is a notification and explanation for a decision like this. Adding this to my other misgivings regarding the poor running of this site, my membership will not be renewed.> As a paying member as long as they continue to let us post on politics and exercise free speech I'll probably renew my membership. |
|
Jun-29-22 | | Rdb: You remember life master aj?
Kibitzing on his games was deactivated.
Similarly, kibitzing on rogoff page must be deactivated otherwise what is the point of deleting all those posts? . |
|
Jun-29-22
 | | gezafan: <nok: Yes, there's a distinct lack of glasnost with the site.
Like what's up with <Messiah> being banned every other day? <Willber> is right not to renew until less amateurish protocols are set.> Why are you encouraging people not to renew their memberships? This is a good site. Every site has issues.
What about all the good stuff on this site?
You should be encouraging people to renew! |
|
Jun-29-22 | | Big Pawn: <Susan>, it has come to my attention that <George Wallace> has been suspended for 168 hours for violating guideline #1 on the Rogoff page. <The account <George Wallace> has received a kibitzing suspension for 168 hours due to the following post:George Wallace: 40 dead Wetbacks were found in a truck in San Antonio today, courtesy of Corn Pop's lawless border policies.
Did the <Tuna> already mention this? Has he posted about it non-stop? Libs?
Libs?>
The problem is, guideline #1 is routinely and systematically broken by other posters on that page every single day. Therefore, the admin <Stonehenge>, is not enforcing the guidelines fairly, but is using his position to target posters he personally does not like. As with <Annie> before, it has already been decided by the Owner that chessgames.com admins <cannot> unfairly target certain posters for suspension. |

The bell is rung,

the wicked bell is rung!.
Looking for redress behind the dress. |
