To confirm, you are looking to update the Round tags for a tournament based on a specific date, right?<MissS>
Could you provide a email I can reach you at, please? Feel free to email it to us at chess@chessgames.com if it's not a temp email. <Speaking of temp emails>
We should be migrating to AWS Cognito for authentication some time next week(special thanks to <Messiah> for the inspiration and motivation). We will most likely be utilizing an API to prevent users from using temp emails. We believe this will help decrease the number of spammers and such. Feedback on this matter is welcomed |

To confirm, you are looking to update the Round tags for a tournament based on a specific date, right?> Yes, doing one game at a time is getting slightly tedious. When a tournament has 120 games I need to enter the information 120 times. It's too much work really. Sometimes only the month is known, not the exact dates. If the tournament is played within the same month, I could update the entire tournament with a few clicks. |
|
Dec-19-23 | | stone free or die: <<Stone> Yes, doing one game at a time is getting slightly tedious.> I handle this with a <RD> structure, which allows a date look up with the round. So, <Stone> should be able to just hand that over to <CG> for updating all the games in the tournament all at once. (Individual games, e.g. if postponed, can then be hand tweaked). Really the update should just be one step utilizing the RD structure. Of course <CG> should also allow updates of any individual round as well, for maximal flexibility. (The entirety of the above assumes the proper rounds have been assigned to all the games, well, the ones you want updated) |

Dec-19-23 | | stone free or die: <CG> - is there any way for us mere pedestrians to see the change logs for a given game? Or even a <last change> date? As an example, there was a game I was commenting on today, and I would have liked to know if the game's <Result> was recently changed. . |

Dec-20-23 | | stone free or die: I've always wondered about <Missy>'s need for a disposable e-mail. Why is having a temporary e-mail considered secure when <CG> knows your IP anyways? Unless you're using a VPN, which I thought <CG> now disallows. |

Dec-20-23 | | stone free or die: RE: IP address
Depending on your carrier, it allow geographical location to an extent you might be unaware of. (Ever wonder how those ads know the nearest coffeehouse to you?) Also, cross-reference between sites is often(?) done, allowing a limited form of tracking. (E.g. facebook might be interested in what other sites you visit. A company might like to know where to direct advertising money to such sites, etc.) I guess the most compelling reason for hiding your main email is to prevent junk email. But modern filters do a pretty good job, so you rarely need to delete any these days. |

Dec-29-23 | | Rdb: 16 years old chess prodigy , Bharath Subramaniyam, won 6 consecutive games to be placed joint second after 8 rounds at 6.5 points and was paired to play 'magnum force' Carlsen in 9th round . Carlsen defeated bharath and Rose to joint 1st after 9th round at 7.5 points . Daniil dubov and anish giri too were joint second at 6.5 points after round 8 . Dubov defeated Anish in round 9. After round 11 , Arjun erigaisi is joint first in world blitz 2023 at 8.5 points. Can Arjun overtake gukesh in fide circuit ? What is the base score of world blitz 2023 ? |

Dec-30-23 | | Rdb: Could someone answer this question , If you please. Thank you Regards 🙏🙏 <goodevans: <Rdb> Good question.
Normally if an event cg is covering isn't on the home page then you can at least find it under <More Events> but in this case it isn't there either! You can find it under <Recent Kibitzing> but it raises the question how it ever got there, i.e. how did the first comment get there if it's invisible everywhere else?> |

Dec-30-23 | | Rdb: Daniil dubov score is not correct in world blitz 2023. He lost to Ian nepomniachtchi in round 11 whereas cg.com is showing that game to be drawn . |

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It's best to fill out a <correction slip> when you spot an error.
There's a <correction slip> link under the comments of every game.
It makes it easier for the editors to correct.

Dec-31-23 | | Messiah: You have never explained why did you delete from my personal forum the EXACT and UNMODIFIED quoting of <stonehenge> when he openly urged the extermination of jews. I will not even ask why that 'person' is still allowed to kibitz, I am just deeply disappointed. |
