Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: I leave the computer for 5 mins and a bunch of prime numbers turn up. This ain't my year. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | OhioChessFan: First ever! |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: I knew you could do it, Ohio. For some reason, I've lost the knack - at least I enjoy seeing my pals win. Every year, there's been some recurring type of clue -- so we can expect to see more of "the most xxx player ever". I'm trying to think of names that might fit. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: GOTD puns might be one place to look ... |

Dec-13-10
 | | Annie K.: <Dom: <(c) something called 'money'. OK, I made the last one up.> >
You hadn't, ackshly - I did mention the term while discussing the shirts: <bought the set - good excuse to throw some money at ceegee, that I like to do anyway>. Well, I do. ;)
Congrats <Ohio> and <craw> again! :) |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | OhioChessFan: <so we can expect to see more of "the most xxx player ever". I'm trying to think of names that might fit.> That's easy: Jameson |
|
Dec-13-10 | | crawfb5: <Every year, there's been some recurring type of clue -- so we can expect to see more of "the most xxx player ever". I'm trying to think of names that might fit.> How about the most most player ever?
M Mostertman One problem with trolling for names is the player directory doesn't include everyone; I checked a couple of pages and didn't see anyone in there with less than 19 games. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Annie K.: Yeah, the best way I know of to find <all> players is just to write likely names into the search box (NOT the EZ Search!) on the homepage. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: <Annie> You also mentioned something called 'shopping'? The recreational kind, was it? <Ohio> The original Jameson whiskey distillery is about ten miles from here - I passed it recently - but it now functions mainly as a tourist attraction. All the alcohol in the world comes out of three giant vats in Osaka, Milwaukee, and Copenhagen, with local flavorings added later. Vicious stuff. Should be banned. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Annie K.: <Dom> Naw, groceries. :) I go looking for things when I need them. Shopping as recreation doesn't do it for me. As in, pointless and boring? Most unfeminine of me, I know. ;p |

Could you humor me and try again? We're not talking whiskey. Here it is:
<so we can expect to see more of "the most xxx player ever". I'm trying to think of names that might fit.> That's easy: Jameson |

Dec-13-10
 | | OhioChessFan: <ShopCat: Yeah, the best way I know of to find <all> players is just to write likely names into the search box (NOT the EZ Search!) on the homepage.> That's what I always do. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: A grocery is 144 gaucheries. I probably said that before. Gross, innit. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Annie K.: <Dom> yep. ;)
Well, the most XXXX player would be Beer ... |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | OhioChessFan: I tried to find a XXX player named Lovelace, but there wasn't one in the database. |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: As in Linder ... ? |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Domdaniel: Right, time to sleep through a few clues. When do the *hard* ones start? |
|
Dec-13-10
 | | Annie K.: G'nite, Cinderella... ;) |
|
Dec-13-10 | | mack: So you're yet to see a single clue as well, eh? |
|
Dec-14-10
 | | Domdaniel: "I stumbled out of bed
I got ready for the struggle
I smoked a cigarett and"
And here, dear reader, we leave Mr Cohen and enter the present tense. Bra drag.
Dave Bowie and Uri bleedin' Geller overnight, eh? They wouldn't have taken much of my, or anybody's, time. Vorwarts. Hogwarts. Let all the children boogie. |
|
Dec-14-10
 | | Domdaniel: Pour me out another phone
We'll call and see if your friends are home
Perhaps the strange ones in the dome
Will lend us a book we can read up alone.... |
|
Dec-14-10
 | | Annie K.: <Dom: <<MAJ> walks among us once again. Where ya been, Joe? Now there's no point even in waiting even for the hard ones.> >Right - ya wanna be checking your email, incidentally. NOT for something from me, technically. ;) |
|
Dec-14-10
 | | Domdaniel: There are others? Who'd be daft enough to email *me*? You're having a larf, right?
I'll check.
;) |
|
Dec-14-10
 | | Domdaniel: Ahhh.
I can explain.... |
|
