jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

jessicafischerqueen: <Bill> yes I love Korean food as it turns out.

I just hope I can find everything once I get to the airport.

I hope they let me through customs, for example.

WannaBe: <jessicafischerqueen> If this is your first time over-seas, when going through customs, as far as my experience goes...

1. Hand over your declaration paper (The plane's steward/ess will hand them out before you land).

2. The custom agent will usually ask you why you are there, and who your contact/staying person is.

3. They will then randomly pick a page (or so it seemed to me) in the passport, and stamp/staple something there.

4. If you are staying for a long period, to be safe/sure, notify your country's consulate/embassy.

5. Buy things duty free while you can, cigs, booze, perfume, etc... Either for personal usage, or to be used as 'presents' for your host(s).

6. Airports have signs in all major languages, English, French, Japanese, Chinese, German, Italian, but alas, no Canadianese. So you're screwed.

7. Have fun, enjoy the locals (culture, customs, food, etc...)

8. If, this is not your first trip abroad, then disregard this post.
