| Feb-11-08 | | Open Defence: <There are many, many Asian people here. > more Asians in Asia than in Canada ? I don't believe you! The whole World knows Asians come from Petrol Bunks..... |

| Feb-11-08 | | Boomie: Maybe you haven't seen Bobby on Dick Cavett's show. Cavett's article is the warmest perspective I've seen. You can tell in the video how much they enjoyed each other. http://cavett.blogs.nytimes.com/200... |

| Feb-11-08 | | Boomie: <JessieRoo: I think you should all go to Asia. There are many, many Asian people here.> The seemingly intractable problem of Asia being overrun with Asians has challenged the great minds of science and made them soft. |

 | | Domdaniel: <Fischer articles> I liked the one from a Beirut english-language paper. No link: can't remember exactly where I found it. The writer had been in Reykjavik '72, then met Fischer about 30 years later. He remembered her -- and also had perfect recall of broadcasts she had done from Lebanon during the war there. He quizzed her closely about specific reports -- "Why did you sound breathless that time you described such-and such?" - "Because I was running down the street and being shot as I recorded". This 'link' seemed to meet with his approval, though he still refused to talk about other topics. And he asked her a question which she rephrased roughly as follows: <"Why are the Israelis so aggressive?" he asked me ('Israelis' was not the word he used).> What a phenomenal memory. And what garbage he filled it with. What a capacity for making connections, and how sad to see it wasted so utterly. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Deffi, Boomie>
Heh i can type this because <John Cleese> wrote it before "political correctness" wrecked everyone's fun. <Cleese as newscaster>: "The Chinese are now three-deep"
HAHAHAHAHAAH...
Heh.
Ta <Boomster> I enjoyed the Cavity interview mightily. One wonders why Cavity won't post the other two video interviews he did with fischer???? |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Quod Est <DOM>enstrandum. Yes, the tragedy of <Fischer>... I'm reminded of my favorite line from <Clint Eastwood> in <the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly>. He is watching two columns of soldiers annihilate each other over a pointless bridge in the middle of nowhere during the civil war. All he says, in his trademark laconic fashion, is:
"I've never seen so many men wasted so badly."
HOWEVER.
none of those men co-created the Masterwork that Fischer and Tal made in their <Immortal Frog Draw> posted up there in my profile. In chess, perhaps not redemption. But certainly art. Regards,

 | | Domdaniel: <Best Blitz?> OK, not bad. This one is rapid rather than blitz - I'm not sure of the exact time controls - but it's still a beauty from old Tolya: V Yemelin vs Karpov, 2006 |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Hello all!
I want to wish you a very happy <VE Day>. This is my favorite holiday of the year, as you can tell by my forum header, featuring World War Two weapons. I love <Victory in Europe> day the best because it celebrates our <triumph over the Hun>. I think it's great that people still get excited about this event every Feb. 14. Regards,

| Feb-14-08 | | chessmoron: Which secret admirer should you take?
Nako?
The weird guy that claims that you are his gf?
WannaBe?
Moi? No, too old for me. Just kidding. No hard feelings :-D |
|
Feb-14-08
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <McLovin>!!!
Who is the <wierd guy>? Did he post somewhere that I was his "gf"?
If so, tell me where?
Does "gf" stand for "giraffe"?
BTW, <Road to Perdition> a fine film. Like <300>, made from a "Graphic Novel", which I believe means "really good comic book." This makes sense that a fine "graphic novel" is a good source for a film, since the scenes in the "novel" are similar to a <storyboad layout> for a film narrative. |

| Feb-14-08 | | chessmoron: Could be Goldfish?
What new film have you watched from 2008? |

| Feb-14-08 | | notyetagm: <jessicafischerqueen: ... happy Valentine day, <notyetagm>. Jess>
Happy Valentine's Day to you, too.

 | | Domdaniel: On behalf of WANG (Weird And Neurotic Guys) I wish to register a complaint. Don't look at me like that. I just do some volunteer work for them as Registrar of Complaints. I myself am demonstrably sane, and so is my giraffe. "We are normal and we want our freedom" |

Feb-15-08
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <We are normal and we want our freedom> Yes, and that's why <VE Day> is still so important. That's all we really ever thought about while we huddled in the London Tube during the Blitz... Thank God for the <RAF> or we'd all be celebrating the "love holiday" staring meaninglessly in each other's eyes over a bloody <Eva Prawn Cocktail>. I mean really. Need I remind you?
Have a look at this: "WHO WON THE BLOODY WAR ANYWAY" heh (no letters please)
