jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Hi <positional>!

I am... your Mother...

NOOOOOO!!

Mar-15-08  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: Good Evening. Hey where are you?>

Waiting in the wings. Trying to keep the Best Move Forum up to date at chez moi. A hopeless and thankless job, really. Haven't felt too terribly clever lately. When I have nothing to say, I don't say it. Strange trait that. Cheerio.

I hope you'll have an AWFUL Night.

Just briefly looking in... My new regimen (!) allows me an hour on Saturday, I suppose.

Well played, and some wonderful stuff by <Dom> too to get into too. TuTu.

Got tangled up there... Rustiness?

(I played on from the RESIGN position and those Knights still became a threat -- bloody engine -- but I won a one-plus-pawn endgame. HAHA!)

  jessicafischerqueen: Good evening.

Hi <Doctor Euwe>!!!!

Thrilled to hear about your <regimen>.

BEEMU me with details if you have time?

Whacka!

well done polishing off the resigned position against a <super engine>!!

Yes, I did get tangled-- I have to take a good look at the <6.Qxd4> material <Eyal> and <Dom> posted. I doubt if its sound against best play-- but I'll never face best play in my "chess career" unless I play my Shredder on <full power>.

However, I'm not rusty- far from it. In fact I'm very confident these past two months-- it's one of the reasons I went on an "exploratory adventure" by deviating from the main line of the <Winawer> in this game.

In many <French> variations, of course, the White queen swings to the g-file to "pose a question..." although not often from the <d4> square!

heh

I don't face the <French> often and I hate playing against it.

My opponent blundered, however, as you know. She's not a 2500 plus rated machine and I have no doubt I would have been able to beat her from the resigned position.

Plus I went on to win a second game today!!

Over 1900 for the first time in my life.

Also, I'm now winning in the 1400 range against my Chessmaster program-- Slowly overcoming "fear of the computer opponent"...

One Rapid game after work is my regimen.

heh.

Great to see you! Where is your <secretary>?

Mar-15-08  achieve: On my lap! heh -- long walk this morning-- Feels good...

I spent 4-6 hours PER DAY with chess/CG/internet -- I was really obstructing myself...

<tangled up> No no, I meant my to-too barrage in my post that got out of hand... Your play with Qg4-g7 was very fresh!

<Dom> has the low-down on that one I noticed.... You are in capable hands here!

See you later, Jess.

Live and Learn.

Mar-15-08  achieve: PS. Yes-- I meant myself (rustiness)

If there is one person who is NOT rusty, that would be you...

My posts may be a bit quickly written and may contain a dose of self-irony.

Just saying ;-)

Good Night.

Mar-15-08  JoeWms: <Jessica: How come you keep deleting my posts?> As Confusion say, "One post doth not a recidivist make."

<I'm sorry I offended you.> <I'm sorry to have angered you.> Rest easy, dear girl. If you did those things, you did a good job of hiding them.

On to the Case of the Deleted Post.

Your recitation of the openings you employed was a straight and sober post that had nary a whiff of the humorous embellishments you sprinkle on your kibitzes.

Yours was an almost "nonsequiturian" response to my whimsical concoction. Mine was a hard-wrought creation of limited value.

Limited value: It would please me enough to get a shout-out from you, Jessica, a small salute from <Twinlark>, and an Attaboy! from punmeister <Domdaniel>.

A key reason for the delete was that the digital ink on my comic piece had not yet dried when you posted on my forum, inadvertently pushing my work out of sight, denying six and a half billion earthlings this mustard seed of joy.

Friends we be, friends we stay.

Hi <Joe>!

Thanks so much for your very, very kind and informative post in my forum.

I understand your point completely.

Belatedly, I can tell you that I found your <opening theory post> very funny and well written. Of course I find the same about all your posts.

I shan't take your work for granted in the future!

Best regards,
