Oct-24-08  Boomie: I have a confession to make.

Me and Mrs. Alekhine,
we got a thang going on.
We both know that it's wrong
but it's much too strong
to let it cool down now.

We meet every day at the same cafe,
Six-thirty i know she'll be there,
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favorite song:

Something's happening here and you don't know what it is. Do you, Mr. Alekhine.

jessicafischerqueen: <Mysterious Elephant of the Silent River Green>

Well that's just about the best news yet...

Thank Goodness! You've made me feel quite happy-- I found this on <Lube Tube> to mark the occasion of the birth of the stars.

Here is an "extended version" for <Niels the Extended Version Blue Elephant of Love>:

<"And a <<<river>>> of green, Is sliding unseen beneath the trees
Laughing as it passes through
The endless summer, making for the sea

In the lazy water meadow,
I lay me down
All around me golden sunflakes
Settle on the ground

Basking in the sunshine
of a bygone afternoon
Bringing thoughts of yesterday,
Into this city room...">

Bee bee bee bumble bumble beeeeee...

Oct-25-08  achieve: <Jess> You captured "me" beautifully there, with those images as well as the music...

Moving on to greener pastures
Will lay me down some times
and I will be fine

heh - so appropriate those birds tapping the water at 3.45-3.50

Thank you!

Domdaniel: <The Crown vs Mr Jones>

You walk into the room
It seems kinda, well, *roomy*
You see somebody nekkid
You say "Oh G-d, is that <boomie>?"

Or just some other unclad rapscallion?
There ought to be a law against 'em.
They should be made wear a Boxer Rebellion.

And he stands up sayin'
"Don't you think I'm kinda cute?"
And Mrs Alekhine, she snaps back
"Maybe cute, as in *prosecute*"

Which is how we ended up in court with these pests
And the Crown rests.

Oct-25-08  madlydeeply: Have you heard of the mysterious "desert elephants? Only legend until a fanatical couple in their ultralight videoed them. They live in the sahara, travel from oasis to oasis, draining them, and charging to the next one. There is film of them running through sand dunes to the next oasis! So awesome!

My theory is behavioral memory left over from when the Sahara wasn't a desert yet.

Another fascinating theory might be some sort of Elephantine "water sense". Perhaps the trunk is a dowsing antennae.

TheAlchemist: Hi <Jessica Palin>! I was just helping my dad with putin' the tiles on the balcony the other day and just like your auntie I noticed I can see Russia too. Pretty interesting.
Oct-25-08  Woody Wood Pusher: Hey <JFQ> since there is no WCC game on today, I was wondering if you could post some particularly blood-thirsty moves from any game you played today?!

I know you're there in cyber-space stomping on people and I want in on the action!

I've become addicted to watching people lose horribly! That's what 3-0 in a WCC match does to spectators!

Domdaniel: Those 'desert elephants' are camels in camouflage gear -- probably descended from the legendary *Kamel Kamouflagenfarben* brigade of Rommel's Afrika Korps, who packed their trunks and headed deeper into the desert in 1941.

Their leader is named <Sahara Palin>: all she needs is one tube of lipstick to disguise herself as *anything*.

Oct-25-08  Woody Wood Pusher: I heard <Sahara Palin> hunts by burying herself in sand up to her head and leaving her mouth open...next poor schmuck who walks by gets swallowed whole.

Even the Republicans agree there is no need to marry if a body is never recovered.

Don't get hyper tense
If I speak in my defense.
I must try to make some sense
Out of this scandal.

Before you hang me by the neck I'd
Like to straighten out the record
I was not completely nekkid
I wore one sandal.

Though you fuddy duddies frown
and trust your future to the Crown
the queen has never gone to town
so how could she know?

Before you nail me to the pines
Or impoverish with your fines
recall it takes Alekhines
to make a rainbow.

jessicafischerqueen: Hmmm you can tell there's another <WC game> tonight, as the *KlangenKlunkenFarben* factor is increasing at CG.com....

I suspect it will reach a crescendo when the "Western World" gets up in a few hours....
