Jan-22-09  LoesR: Super JinXX!!@#

<Jess>! I just logged in with my ignore-free "double account" to - yes, it's true - to check if you were on 500 PAGES!!

Did I sense it?

  jessicafischerqueen: Thanks <Niels>

heh==

I had to clear my ignore list to see as well.

Before I cleaned it, I only had 22 pages in here...

HAHAHAAHAHAQAHAHA

Jan-22-09  malthrope: I just had the distinct feeling that Jess would be around today! ;)

<jessicafischerqueen: hahahaah

<Niels>!! You just made the post that put me over 500 pages!!>

Then again -- I could be wrong. <grin>

<I am only the second member in history to go over 500 now.>

Nah! ~lol~

Congrats Jess! :^)

Your pal, - Mal

Jan-22-09  achieve: Let me join in the celebrations, then!

By my calculations <Jess> will break the standing record of 568 pages within 4 months! That will be the main goal this spring!

Jan-22-09  hms123: <Jess> You go, girl!! 500 pages with many more to come if I have anything to do with it.
Jan-22-09  madlydeeply: Just for the record, i LOVE prince, except for the one song I had to hear one million times with kfc grease pouring out my nose...prince is AWESOME and the fact that he is a nut job is just proof that every iota of his talent is reserved for music...just like fischer and chess!! Really the villian here is corporate radio which exists in order to make you HATE music by replaying crap til it comes out your eyeballs!! how does "save the best for last" start..."sometimes the <whatever> comes out in june....<bla bla bla>....save the best for laaaaaassttt..."

If it wasn't for power99 I would still love all these songs. Actually, I never liked those songs.

Prince had a b-side to a Maxi single called "God". It was so great...."God loves youuuu...and he...loves me tooo...he made the earth....and the heaven......" then comes the screamiest james brown scream you ever did hear!!!!

my little sister had "lets go crazy/erotic city" maxi-single and also "Alexa di Paris/<some forgettable hit>" but I forgot the flip side to GOD.

He had that fun sax player on "under a cherry moon" album AS WELL

And as usual for prince one can just go on and on and on...

Jan-22-09  madlydeeply: and for the sake of completeness for my prince biography...all the "soul" fans knew him because of "little red corvette" but what blew everybody's mind (including mine) was "when doves cry" it was pretty riviting jolting soul-stirring experience universally hailed etc. I can't say enough about that memory. I was SO HAPPY!!!

out.

<JFK> Congrats!! How did you do it?

<69 pages to go for the record.....>

Go!!

Jan-22-09  madlydeeply: I just used some simple calculations and determined that my forum grows at the incredible rate of one page per year.
Jan-22-09  rogge: Well, if you need any help with that...
Jan-22-09  shr0pshire: <Jessicafischerqueen> Good to see you too. I took a break from chess, and really didn't do much. I just came back probably in December, so it is nice to see some familiar faces.

Been playing on FICS with Naksonrosense, Ficswoodpusher, KingG, among others. I am playing some difficult tournaments, so maybe that will re quench my thirst for the game.

Anyway, how are you doing? Anything new? How are your games?

  jessicafischerqueen: Hi <shropshire>!

Yes, I noticed your return- you really ruffled some feathers with your "no nonsense" posting style.

Hard hitting facts and hard hitting questions.

(also pretty funny if you ask me)

I'm fine thanks and you?

Do you know about <Nathan> (positional genius) and the CG.com tournaments he's running on Queen Alice?

I've been playing 2-4 games at a time on <letsplaychess.com> Correspondence- 10 days per move-- for the last year and I've got my rating just over 2000 there at the moment.

I'm not sure exactly but I believe that corresponds to about 1800 on Queen Alice...

My <Yahoo> rating at 2 hours each time control is around 1800 as well.

I've been playing only 3 openings since last August on Yahoo--

<1.c4>

and <1...c5> or <1...Nf6>.

I'm having some decent success with this incredibly limited repetoire.

I'm enjoying the English especially, since I took it up in August.

What time controls are you playing at on FICS?

Are you hustling anyone in the Park at Blitz?

Isn't it 8000 below zero in Colorado right now?

Jan-23-09  achieve: <Jess> Have you seen <Angel Heart>: from 1987 ?

Fantabulously cinematic experience.

I think you'd (might) like it.

(Chances are you know this one already, 80 to 20)

Jan-23-09  Ragh: Hi <JFK>, You don't seem to be a big fan of the <emoticons> do you? You know even the popular ones.. :) and ;) and :( and so on.

Also, there's a message for you at the Space page, regarding an exciting mystery uncovered today :)

Jan-24-09  Woody Wood Pusher: hey <JFQ> check out the game between Carlsen and Car-Jacking from Corus today

Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2009

Magnus was so close....

jessicafischerqueen: <The Woodlands Racetrack in Edmonton, Alberta>

I watched that game live for five hours in a row last night!!

What a cracker. In fact, I was very happy that <Magna Carta> missed the stinking Engine line that MORON <sallom> kept shoving in everyone's face all night.

I hate that guy. Bloody robot man I bet he couldn't beat a five year old over the board without some machine to "tell him" <when it's over> like he kept posting.

I swear to God I'm going to have to start using the ignore list again.

I just wish <Adrian P> would get his wish to have two simultaneous broadcasts of the Live games-- one with and one WITHOUT <Stinking Engine> analysis.

He has 74 names who have signed up in his forum to petition for this feature, but he hasn't actually made the formal request yet.

Bloody moron- <sallom> I haven't ever seen him post one word that showed ANY UNDERSTANDING OF ANY ASPECT OF CHESS WHATSOEVER....

I can't stand these "robot kibbutzers"

I wish they would all be shot into space on a rocket and then be attacked by space vampires, like in the movie <Life Force>.

jessicafischerqueen: On the bright side, however, it's <Lunar New Year> in Asia!!

Everyone is out in the street howling at the moon and talking to her dead Grandmother.

If you haven't done this, I strongly advise it.

It's even more fun than it sounds.

Also, this tradition is at least 10,000 years old--

And why not? If you figure out such an amazingly great holiday ritual, you don't mess with it.

Jan-24-09  Woody Wood Pusher: <I watched that game live for five hours in a row last night!!>

Ah lucky you! I wanted to catch it myself but couldn't.

<What a cracker. In fact, I was very happy that <Magna Carta> missed the stinking Engine line that MORON <sallom> kept shoving in everyone's face all night.>

Oh God, I can imagine what that was like. I looked at some of the kibitz on the game and <eyal> has been trying to show how the win was actually a lot more difficult to see than everyone was making out.

Even the commentary on www.chessbase.com makes it seem like anybody could have spotted the win...IDIOTS!

That must have been such a tense game, they are rivals anyway but Car-Jacking is leading and Carlsen needs his first win!

I'm not surprised things were missed.

<I just wish <Adrian P> would get his wish to have two simultaneous broadcasts of the Live games-- one with and one WITHOUT <Stinking Engine> analysis.>

Yea that would be nice.

TBH though I think C.G. should just blanket ban the posting of computer lines during the live game, because there are plenty of other websites that people can go to if that is what they want.

Plus, the game will sit here in the archive for analysis later if there is anything important to add to it, unlike a lot of other sites.

I actually think it would make the Live Game even more popular this way, because plenty of people are sick of having computer lines thrown at them like you say.

Or we could just make more use of the ignore list!

hehe

jessicafischerqueen: <chessbase> is an absolute disgrace and should be boycotted by everyone.

I prefer more erudite sites such as <Hooters.com>, for example.

At least you don't get spelling mistakes there.

Better pictures too.

jessicafischerqueen: <Cg.com> or any other live site will never ban engine posts.

That will never happen.

Too bad.

Jan-24-09  Woody Wood Pusher: <<Cg.com> or any other live site will never ban engine posts.>

Yea you are right, but the Anand-Kramnik kibitzing live was at its best when nobody was posting engine stuff. I had a really good time there and I think it showed the potential for a no engine room.

Now if we could only get somebody at C.G. to listen!

haha

Jan-24-09  achieve: Let's gather some saliva and start spitting on these idiots.

Contrary to what I suggested recently, a uncensored venting of frustration, upto an hour a day, keeps the Doctor away.

At least that is what a writer I respect and admire said, and I am sticking with it.

<Jess> A reply on "wavering pitch" is in my house,.. bit analogous to the nerdy bench sitters-know-it-all-cuz-their-@#$%er-says-so types.
