Check out this piece of LIVE footage; it is so bang in the middle, perfect voice/timing/magic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1__K... And while this show is thoroughly getting on the road, the perfect marriage between a Queen song, and top sports: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCEX... (Dennis Bergkamp/Don't stop me now) |
| Oct-12-09 | | dakgootje: ahhhhh bergkamp... one of the best players ever :P (okay, song isn't bad either ;) |
| Oct-12-09 | | twinlark: <jessica>
Any more aliens visiting Stanley & Son? I need my daily fix. Those photos of Bobby in the Philippines are a great find to surface after all these years. Was that really his sister? |
| Oct-12-09 | | benjinathan: I am not the biggest Queen fan, but I honestly think this might be one of the greatest live rock performances ever: http://video.google.com/videoplay?d... |

 | | TheAlchemist: <benjinathan> It has been voted as the greatest in a poll from 2005: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertai... |
| Oct-12-09 | | hms123: <jess> Some grammatical adjudication is needed chez niels. |
| Oct-12-09 | | benjinathan: <TheAlchemist> (idiom to follow)Well what do you know! As an aside, I would have said Hendrix at Monterey over Woodstock, but maybe the BBC reviewers were among the 19 people watching Hendrix at Woodstock. |

Oct-12-09
 | | jessicafischerqueen: Thanks lads for the QUEEN CONCERT that I will get to listen to after work today. I see it starts at <Travis house>. |
| Oct-12-09 | | Boomie: Happy Columbo Day!
Little known fact that Peter Falk discovered America. |
| Oct-12-09 | | Boomie: <Hendrix at Woodstock> Still the best rendition of the National Anthem. You can actually hear napalm being dropped on defenseless villagers. A deadhead friend who was at Woodstock claimed that Sly and the Family Stone were the best act. I saw Sly Stone at one of the few concerts they bothered to show for and I can attest that they were one tight group. |
| Oct-12-09 | | Travis Bickle: <Boomie> you asked for it you got it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBIA... |
| Oct-12-09 | | Travis Bickle: The best performance IMO was Santana's Soul Sacrifice. Simply awesome!!! A very close second would be Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner. I had all this on my forum on the anniversary of Woodstock last summer at the request of whiteshark. |
| Oct-12-09 | | Boomie: <Travis Bickle: <Boomie> you asked for it you got it!> Thanks, Travis.
Alas, another great group lost in the Great War on Drugs. Still Sly wrote some great songs, didn't he? Hot Fun in the Summertime... |

| Oct-12-09 | | notyetagm: Svidler vs Motylev, 2009 19 ?
 click for larger view19 ♘f3-g5! <pin-breaking by discovery>
click for larger viewhttp://chessmind.powerblogs.com/pos...: <Finally, Svidler is able to parlay a very small edge against Motylev's Petroff into a full point. <<<His advantages after the slick 19.Ng5 are of a small sort: a slightly better minor piece, a little more space, and the possibility of a minor kingside initiative.>>> But putting them all together, Motylev was never able to "catch up", and Svidler put the cap on a great event. <<<(With his gains in Ohrid, Svidler is now #8 on the Live Top List, with a 2753.7 rating.)>>>> |

| Oct-12-09 | | pulsar: <jess> forgives me but i cant help falling over joyous on floor readings on carlsow exchanges. |
Oct-13-09
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <pulsar> well yes I think it's fair to say that all of us are giddy over the promise of <Carlsparow> now. Could be the next "new age" of chess right around the corner. Now what are the time controls for the <Tal Memorial>? Will they be proper, or will they be a DISGRACE TO CHESS as were the time controls for the <ZZ Top Pearl Necklace> tournament? |
| Oct-13-09 | | pulsar: The no increment time controls is visibly degrading the level of play, with players bashing their moves in time trouble. This might be okay at the lower level but on top, where the terrain is constantly shifting, this is indeed no way to go. I hope the organizers won't blunder at the Tal Memorial. |
| Oct-13-09 | | Open Defence: <<Deffi> do you mean you suspect him of a little "extra help"?> no I dont think he uses fish in his underwear... he seems to be a very good player...and very prepared for whatever I dish out... |
Oct-13-09
 | | jessicafischerqueen: Still not quite sure what you mean.
Do you mean the seafood dish is being prepared inside of the house? |
| Oct-13-09 | | Open Defence: the old Rybka in the underwear trick ;-p |
Oct-13-09
 | | jessicafischerqueen: Maybe he's just happy to see you then. |
| Oct-13-09 | | achieve: EXCELLENT. You have my full support, as you can see at my place. To get their attention I propose you put a hyperlink to your post with small explanation, on the <chessgames customer support> forum. Just to make sure and emphasize. |
