My son had it on DVD and I saw it at his apartment last weekend. Very good movie (imo) based on a true story. |

EXCELLENT FILM!
I did in fact download and watch that in Hi-Def 1080 "pee" settings on my gigantic LED monitor. You're not jealous are you? I don't wan't you to be jealous. I'm jealous that <crawfb5>'s monitor is 4 (four) inches wider than mine. It is a very good film, thanks for thinking of me.
Have you seen the black and white film composed solely of the raw footage they shot on the journey? It is also excellent.

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> thanks for that great, and recent video of <Tom Petty>. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_iB... He's starting to sound a bit like Bob Dylan- maybe it's all the years they spent singing and maybe smoking too much. Still sounds, and looks, great to me though.
Did you notice that everyone in the band is losing their hair? Also, I may be crazy but isn't that <George Foreman> on drums? |
|
| Oct-04-13 | | Travis Bickle: Funny you should mention that he sounds like Bob Dylan because in the mid 70's when Tom was starting out some people knocked him for trying to sound like Dylan. ; P P.S. You have a very astute eye, that is in fact George Foreman on the drums. They asked him to sit in 1 day when the regular drummer was sick, but nobody had the guts to tell Big George the other drummer was healthy again. ; P |
|
| Oct-05-13 | | Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, it's getting close to Halloween, I just want you to be extra careful at night. They'll probably be quite a few Hybrid Nut Monkey attacks more than usual! They'll make The Rogoff page seem lame compared to this kind of danger! http://youtu.be/SESI19h4wDo |

Here is some incredibly rare footage of <Tom Petty's drummer>: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qu9p...
heh AWWWWWWWWWW FLYING HYBRID NUT MONKEY ATTACK-
That scene from the "Wizard of Oz" skeered the crap out of me when I was a kid. IT STILL DOES. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Brocho> that's the one. Every scene in the film was shot by Hyerdahl's crew on board the KON - RIKKI-TIKKI-TAVI. |
|
| Oct-05-13 | | Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, I thought you would have been cracking up over that Wizard of Oz Nut Monkey attack. Sorry if I scared ya. Anyways here was a big hit for ELO. Roll Over Beethoven

|
| Oct-05-13 | | Travis Bickle: Yeah, George Foreman got bored making all those dumb commercials for his grills so he joined Tom petty's band by force. ; P |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Trompowsky Hybrid Monkey Attack> <Sorry if I scared ya.> LOL! I like being scared, my dear <Trompowsky Hybrid Monkey Attack>. That's why I have watched almost every single horror film ever made, even ones that scored "1.9" on the IMDB ratings. I must agree though that George Foreman's GRILL ADVERTS qualify as horror films. Roll over Beethoven, another great ELO RATINGS SYSTEM track <Trombone>, thanks. I'm now comparing it to <Chuck Strawberries'> version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT3k...
<Chuck Elderberry> is great, obviously, but Jeff Lynne's track benefits from great production values and a great drummer (who is Joe Frazier, if I"m not mistaken). Also he's singing it in a different style, a kind of white "boogie blues style" you might call it. I also like the opening from BEEthoven's "Fifth Symphony." Here is another version of the "Fifth Symphony" by Genesis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7-q... |

| Oct-06-13 | | Travis Bickle: <jessicafischerqueen: <Trompowsky Hybrid Monkey Attack> LOL, I love it!
Nice Genesis song by the way also!
Jess at 1 point Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood mac wanted to join Tom Petty's Heartbreakers, maybe you're right about chicks liking Mr Petty. ; P Stop Draggin' My Heart Around - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers feat. Stevie Nicks

Excellent video!- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwSi... I never seen that before. Great performance of a great song. Also some excellent footage of George Foreman on drums again. I was typing "hybrid monkey attack" and then suddenly thought of the "Trompowsky Attack," although I never play it. Maybe I should start. But new forum header!

| Oct-06-13 | | Travis Bickle: <jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> I didn't know you were a fan of "rikki tikki tavi" from <The Jungle Book>?> Jess, never heard of it... But I did hear of Donovan with that funny song title. ; P P.S. Looks like George Foreman went on a diet for that other video. lol |
|
| Oct-06-13 | | Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, maybe if we get real serious & work on it, (the Trompowsky Hybrid Monkey attack), we could be named after a new chess opening!! ; P |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Foreman diet... heh
Here is why he had to become a famous drummer for <Tom Petty>: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKlx...
If you invent the moves for the all new <Trompowsky Hybrid Monkey attack>, I will play it and then post the game score. On other news, this just in: "Revolver" is a great record. How do I know? I just downloaded it on super FLAC FORMAT sound files with EXTRA BEEF. Sounds pretty good <t-bone>. |
|
| Oct-06-13 | | Travis Bickle: Yeah Jess but Big George Foreman really gave Mike Tyson an ass whuppin'! ; P http://youtu.be/qxtEavPoDSw |
|
| Oct-06-13 | | Travis Bickle: Sorry Jess about those stupid comments. I don't give a damn about that song I played, my team, The Bears played miserable and I was mad at the world. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <tbonic Man starring Lee what the hell's his last name> It's no worries, you weren't at fault for the misunderstanding. I just assumed you knew I actually enjoy <John Cougar Mellencamp>. As opposed to "Our friend from the South." When I saw the "Jack and Diane" on your playlist I couldn't resist an early Christmas present to our friend. |

| Oct-07-13 | | Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, Paul Mac said when the album Revolver was finished John Lennon told McCartney that he thought Paul had written the best song on the album. McCartney said that Lennon rarely gave compliments so he was satisfied that John really liked this song. I always thought it was too syrupy for me but John liked it a lot.
