jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

May-04-11  benjinathan: The interview is about 40% along the May 3 podcast.
May-04-11  LIFE Master AJ: Jess: Wow! You went through the whole game, I am impressed. (I was pleased with the game.)

Yes, it was one of the weirdest and most difficult bullet games I had ever played. He ran out of time, I still had around 10-15 seconds left ... I played the first 20 or so moves in probably around 10 seconds.

I am NOT the best bullet player around - in fact, I have heard that honor probably belongs to GM Hikaru Nakamura.

BUT - I was proud of the game ... some tough decisions to make - and no time to spend more than 2-3 seconds ... even on the most critical of moves. I TRY (notice I said try) to play good moves, no matter what the time limit is. Many times I lose, my opponent is simply playing "back-and-forth" moves ... (like ...Nf6; then ...Ng8; ...Nf6; ...Ng8; etc.) ... ... ... just waiting for me to run out of time.

May-04-11  LIFE Master AJ: To tell the truth, at one time, I was virtually addicted to one-minute chess.

I should say away from it <now> for a few weeks ... try to get some real work done. (Analysis/new web pages/videos.)

It was nice to see that I had not completely lost my touch, and could still play a half-way decent game. At one point, I had easily won over 30 games in a row. (The first guy I played was only rated like 300, it took a long time to get my rating up to a passable level ... where I could get some <half-way> good players like the one I posted here.)

My highest level ever was I was over 2300 at ICC in bullet ... but that was many years ago.

May-04-11  Open Defence: Its time for the <Motion Picture and TV Lifetime Achievement Awards>

Category: Best Serial Killer

Winner: John Lithgow

Highlights: Raising Cain, Ricochet, Dexter

May-04-11  Boomie: <Jessie>

The coolest half hour ever on the boobie was Blake Edwards' Peter Gunn.

From Henry Mancini's brassy, ballsy theme song to Mother's Jazz Lounge, this show defines cool.

jessicafischerqueen: <Deffi> what about <Anthony Coffee Percolator>? He was in three PSYCHOs and he was the killer in at least one other movie I saw.

That makes four to <John Lithium's> three.

Does <Anthony> win a bun?

jessicafischerqueen: <Tim> isn't Peter Gunn a song? If it's also a tV show, how can I watch it?

Is it on the internet?

jessicafischerqueen: <Benji> thank for the heads up= I had in fact read some of the promotional stuff for the new documentary.

It looks like it will be a good one too.

Lookit! I found Peter's Gunn!

Typical opening for the Gunnster. Walking bass line and a jazzy tune. A gang hit followed by the iconic theme song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqd7...

A huge brewhaha has developed locally over bikini clad baristas or bareyeastas as I am want to call them.

Working out of fancifully named kiosks such as "Steamy Grounds" and "Fantasy Coffee", these babes are stirring up a stiff brew of hoo ha.

Local mothers are leading the outcry. After all, don't they have the right to educate their children that there are few things more disgusting and certainly none more disturbing than a woman's body?

I'm sure there is some irony in this. I just haven't sussed it all out yet
