jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Apr-19-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, check out this guy covering 11 Beatles guitar solo's... He's pretty good! Paul Mac did The Taxman solo on Revolver! They got the 'Let It Be' solo credit wrong as they give credit to John Lennon but it was George Harrison who did that album version with a Gibson and also recorded a different solo on the Let It be single with a fender guitar.

Your resident Beatles expert...

Come over to my Forum & listen to the 2 different versions of Harrison's guitar solo's for the song Let It Be. ; P

Apr-19-14  Alien Math: Several problems appear from the Heartbleed bug, The DHS website, http://www.dhs/gov, has up-to-date information on Internet security threats to include Heartbleed.

“You should go to your bank’s website … and check whether the bank software has been fixed or whether it is vulnerable,” he said. “

If it is fixed, then I recommend changing your password. It is best to assume that your password might have been compromised and change it.”

Officials recommend that people refrain from logging into a website and changing their password until they’ve confirmed that a patch is in place on the site to protect users from the Heartbleed vulnerability.

If the Heartbleed patch is not yet in place, they explained, changing the password would be useless and could give an attacker the new password. http://www.defense.gov/news/newsart...

Apr-21-14  Open Defence: there is a mole emergency as people forgot today was WHACKAMOLE DAY

they incorrectly assumed today was GUACAMOLE DAY so we have more than a 100 tonnes of GUACAMOLE!

YUCK!!!

Apr-21-14  Travis Bickle: <Open Defence> We also have 3 million extra moles that should have been whacked!!
Apr-21-14  Alien Math: Finding a 1940s era radio online station http://www.1940sukradio.co.uk/

The UK 1940s Radio Station plays music and historical news broadcasts from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, that would have been heard predominantly in England and the USA.

Or this kind?

LOL!!

Apr-22-14  dakgootje: One of the many interesting and useful factoids on the interwebs, is that a mole of moles takes up roughly the volume of the moon.

That's all.

Apr-22-14  Boomie: <dakgootje: One of the many interesting and useful factoids on the interwebs, is that a mole of moles takes up roughly the volume of the moon.>

It seems ironic that a mole of moles is Avacado's number which proves that it must be Guacamole after all.

Apr-22-14  dakgootje: Ah yes, good old Guacamala - it's only fitting Molina became president.
Apr-23-14  Boomie: <dak>

Fabu Factotum

The national dish of Guacamala is Chicken Mole.

Coinkidink? I don't think so!

Apr-23-14  dakgootje: <Rumba> For a related relevant recipe remembrance: I once made a mole sauce, presumably to accompany chicken, based on a recipe by that Oliver Jameson fellow - nicknamed the Ogre of Cookery. In his typical style I threw random ingredients from a middle-long distance at the assembled pots and pans and -you'll never guess- it tasted absolutely horrible.

There's probably a wise life lesson in there somewhere. Perhaps the sauce needed more cow or bell pepper.

In other happy news, based on your expert advice I did order the Fabulous Factotum dress, and expect to wear it with great grace.

Apr-23-14  Open Defence: <Jess> you are and <ENGLISH> teacher right ? ok, why do we call cows cows ? why not simply call them moos that was we dont need to ask what does a cow say, we know a moo moos...

similarly dont call them chickens, perhaps clucks or cluck cluck ka paaks ?

and pigs could be oinks or grunts....

the list goes on... perhaps we need a phono-based language where the word is exactly what it sounds like so a computer would be a click clack whirrr whirr

Apr-23-14  crawfb5: Oh no, man, oh be ah...serious.

It's little known that late at night while the farmer is asleep, cattle can be observed cowling at the moon.

heh... Good idea but no go. The farm animals also speak Korean.

Here, according to my students, Pigs say "Geul geul geul geul."

Dogs say "Don't eat me Help! don't eat me."

Apr-24-14  Open Defence: they must be hot dogs....
Apr-24-14  Open Defence: 2 Korean ladies visited New York, they had heard of the famous New York delicacy, HOT DOGS.

So they found a typical street hot dog vendor ordered a couple of chili dogs and went to the nearest park bench to devour them.

One of the ladies was curious and so she opened the hot dog buns to see what was inside. On having a look at the contents she was revulsed and immediately threw her hot dog into the nearest waste bin asking her friend "WHICH PART OF THE DOG DID YOU GET???"
