I believe the steamed member from Nashville may be referring to the game of bridge. He has been charmed by the weak 2 bid and the Mexican 2 diamond popularized by Omar Sharif. Once they get like this, there is no turning back.

Back in the hippie days, my bridge partner was Yaz. We didn't play very well but enjoyed a little face time away from the chess board. Yaz's creativity was evident one hand when the bidding went pass, pass, pass, (Yaz) 4 no trump. We were playing the Blackwood convention so I responded 5 clubs, having no aces. I didn't have any clubs either but hey, it's a convention, OK? The bidding proceeded pass, pass, pass. Now I'm stuck playing 5 clubs with a void in clubs. Yaz lays down all clubs and diamonds with 7 clubs. I managed to make 5 clubs. He had calculated all the responses to 4 no trump and decided it was all good.

<Martinez> who is Boomie brah and what did he get? I want one too.

<Teem> (I think Martinez may be losing it so keep it under your hat)

Great bridge story man. Not yesterday I was learning how to play the Pirc from Yaz on youtube. What a great teacher, especially if your'e as stupid as me.

I used to play bridge in middle school and I also enjoy the game. I always overbid and people yelled at me.

Oct-19-15  Boomie: <I want one too.> You can have mine. I'm done playing with it. Just be sure to clean it after you're done.
Oct-19-15  Shams: <Boomie> Great bridge story, thanks for sharing.

<Martinez> Well met!>

Do you play The Elder Scrolls games? Especially TES IV: Oblivion. Everyone in that game you walk by say, "Well met!" to you.

<Martinez> It's "si," but if you are interested in learning some conversational Finnish, I'd be glad to help.

In Finnish "yo" is indeed correct, if you were trying to say "yes."

If you were speaking Ebonics, that's another kettle of squab.

Oct-22-15  Black Ops: Hey Jess, this raw track by Paul M. fires my imagination into thinking what The Beatles could have created had they got back together & made some more albums. Check out this jam...

Rode All Night - Paul McCartney

Oct-22-15  Black Ops: Jess here's a song that has a similar sound to it IMO from John Lennon. If Lennon & McCartney went back in the studio & collaborated their musical genius could have made some blistering new inroads into Rock music! Add George's innovative guitar & Mr Starr's unique drumming style & it would have been really Cool!

Cold Turkey - John Lennon
