Oct-12-15  playground player: <jessicafischerqueen> "The old Welsh witch" featured in the song, Rhiannon, is a central figure in the First Branch of <The Mabinogion>. A princess of the Otherworld, she marries the earthly chieftain, Pwyll, and gives birth to the hero, Pryderi--but not until after she is falsely accused of, and punished for, allegedly murdering her own baby.

Amazing, how long these ancient stories stick around.

Oct-12-15  Black Ops: Jess, great Fleetwood Mac live find!! That show, Midnight Special used to air every Friday night... I missed that performance but all the big stars came on there.

You can tell they were a great band to play live like that! I heard some bands not do so well live.

It was interesting to see the guitar player Lindsey Buckingham, (who was Stevie Nicks lover), all smiles as the band was just starting out. Their relationship eventually soured after years on the road, drugs & infidelities.

Here's the band coming full circle in 1997's The Dance Tour.

<Harry> you and others can feel safe here. I will always delete fighting or rude posts, including my own, if I ever make any again.

I stayed away from cg.com for three months because of the fighting and I'll not have it in my own personal forum.

I miss <Tbone> too man.>

I was just having some banter on your forum with a few posters and they went wierd! ... Really wierd ...

<Tbone> Great 1997 performance by Fleetwood Mac, who are so much better live than on record. And they're great on record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpV...

"The Chain" is also about Stevie and Lindsay, as you know. So is this one, my favorite Fleetwood Mac track:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clC...

This version is from their "Live in Japan" concert film, one of the best sets I ever saw any band play.

Turn this one up loud too!

<Hozza Kane>

No wonder you love Derby County. Do you live in Derby County by any chance?

Bloody football stewards didn't award Harry the last goal he scored for England eh? Because it hit the post and bounced in off the keeper, it's an "own goal."

That's ridiculous. Was the keeper supposed to whip around and make the save in reverse or something? The worst part is that it affects Harry's excellent international stats.

I hope his form returns soon for the club- only one goal so far. I also hope Son Korean-Man recovers from his injury soon. Harry playing the 10 spot and Son the 9 spot is a potent combination.

Anyways Spurs look great so far and so do Arsenal eh?

Alexis Sanchez also tore the guts out of Brazil- again lol.

Then I could spam your forum with various fictional recipes, many "squab related."

Oct-15-15  thegoodanarchist: <Then I could spam your forum with various fictional recipes, many "squab related.">

or even spam the forum with "spam related" recipes.

My favorite flavor of spam is jalapeno spam, although bacon spam is a close second

Oct-16-15  Boomie: I prefer the eggs, bacon, spam, baked beans and spam breakfast because there's not a lot of spam in it.

<Teem> Did we ever do squab n' eggs n' spam? I remember you were posting squab-related material all over the website around five years ago.

There was no stopping you and <Deffi> was egging you on too, unless memory fails.

Oct-16-15  thegoodanarchist: <<Deffi> was egging you on too, >

Cooking up puns, I see :)

Oct-16-15  Boomie: Accuse me of squab related offenses??? I'm shakin' like bacon.

BTW - Have you seen my recipe for squab l'orange, generously garnished with squid medallions?

<squid medallions>

If only it weren't actually true... but I'm afraid it is, my dear Teem.

I wonder if you have heard from your cousin Martinez? He seems to have retired right off the website. Maybe you ran into him in the barrio, or down by the schoolyard?

Oct-17-15  hms123: I have pretty much switched from chess to
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H_a46... these days. Travel and photography are taking up the rest of my time, except of course, for all the demands that <Arriba!> makes.

She asked for $50 on Monday, $100 on Tuesday, and $200 on Wednesday.

What does she do with all the money?

How do I know? I never giver any.

Heh I never thought of it that way before, but of course the narrative part of The Lamb featuring the "carpet crawlers" is actually a horror scene.

Good call! And one of the very best Genesis tracks, and some of Pete's very best lyrics. One of the only songs where Pete contributed to writing the melody as well.

<Martinez> Well met! I was confused by your post until I recognized it was an old Borscht Belt joke- and a good one.

I must say I'm impressed by New York Latinos such as yourself who enjoy exploring Jewish comedy culture as well. I enjoy it too.

If I'm not mistaken, your cousin <Teem> is also a Borscht Belt afficianado. I think he might also be a Marx Brothers expert, if memory swerves.

Oct-18-15  Boomie: I do enjoy a little Borscht below the Belt, being the last of the Beet Generation.

Like the Jew from Sydney, I cry: Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie. Oy, oy, veh.

Sorry <Teem> but that particular vegetable was always right out.

As we say here in Korea, "Our squab recipes can't be beet."
