 | | Domdaniel: Catch, definition of, Dom's Lemma.
1.01. Let <The Ball> be a minor satellite of a planet inhabited by <Players>. 1.02. If <The Ball>, under strictly Newtonian-Einsteinian conditions, seems about to collide with the planet, a player may interpose their body. 1.03. Any such successful interposition is deemed a catch. 1.04. Unless done with an inappropriate body part, when, depending on local rules, it may be a kick, a foul, or a suicide. |

<Teem> good call. That's the best sports rule formula I ever read. QUESTION: Would catching the ball with your arse be penalized by fever, dizziness, AND suicide? In this case the first two rules would appear redundant. |

<HOZZA> on <Aresenal> watch, I will be watching their UCF game against Dinamo Kiev tomorrow, so just going by last week's EPL game yes they are on poor form now to be sure. I won't be able to see their EPL game from this week for a few days yet- no time brah, no time. They really missed <Koscielsky> in the second match against Bayern, which is when the slide started eh? He's back now though and Arsenal have fewer injury problems than some. I hope ARSON BENGAL TIGER doesn't get sacked. Man City manager EMERSON FITTIPALDI looks even older, if that's possible. Italian football managers appear to have a lot of talent if you ask me. Anyways I liked them both as "underdogs" in relation to JOSE MERINGUE PIE who made a habit of beating the hell out of them both before Chelsea went in the tank this year. |

<Hanh> Might you post me an IMDB link for that horror movie? I can't seem to get an IMDB hit. Are there English subtitles available yet?
I saw an awesome Pilipino horror movie about a Taxi drive who really picks up the "wrong fare." I think Southeast Asian horror kicks ass, and has done so for some time now. Indian horror still suffers from forcing the actors to "do a Bollywood video" in the middle of the narrative- I think this might be in the general Bollywood contract for all movies? I like the videos but they're out of place in a horror movie. |

I'm glad every time you post with the Chess Book, because it helps promote the page. I'm actually waiting on a couple of chess books I ordered to come- already two Cg.com members told me about the series in the ChessBookForum. I will post something about the books after they arrive. |

I don't think there's anything wrong with being gay either. I also don't think there's anything wrong with <South Park> using the word gay constantly for humor, most recently in the "Playing Ninjas is Gay" episode this season. I'm fine with homosexuality but not fine with the gigantic LGMDBD or whatever the hell they call themselves lobby trying to censor <South Park> and me and you and everyone else on the planet. Possibly these new Stalinists should be reminded that Stalin wasn't a gay rights promoter. They should be careful what they wish for. Repealing the First Amendment is no way to promote social justice. Quite the opposite, in fact. |

An apparent accounting error has crowned my account for a year. Bizarre since I really have no use for my forum. I just like to wander around and leave silly jokes on foreign doorsteps. The thought that something I type here can lighten someone's day delights me. But I have no plans to dive back into analysis or go all Rogoff. |

The PBY Catalina was perhaps the most versatile plane of the Pacific theater. With a range of 4,030 km, it was one of the few allied planes that could be effective in the vast Pacific. At the time of Pearl Harbor, the Japanese had by far the finest long range air force in the world. However at Midway, the Japanese fleet was spotted by Catalina reconnaissance planes and crushed. You have probably noticed that Jess and I enjoy WWII history. |

<What is the origin of the ChessBookForum's closing line: Be Not Afraid?> <Teem> I was well familiar with the line, and I'd always assumed you were the originator. It could have been your cousin <Martinez> or <Bigg>, but the idiom doesn't sound right for them. I'm going to say... <YOU>. Do I win a bun? |
