<pension money> lol yep that's kind of what I meant aboot comparing him with <Sterling>- Sterling's about 50 years away from his pension and he's only got upside... or so he better if you're a Man City supporter. <Man City> looked great without him in the lineup against <PSG> though- great, great football 2-2 tie, end to end action... the kind of football Man U will never play again until they sack LvG... |

This is my favorite goal of the last 3 seasons. Just forward it to 1.35. "Here he is again, here he is again.... That's <Astonishing> that's absolutely worrrrrld class!" Greatest football player to ever descend from the footballing heavens. Lionel Messi. The debate about who's the greatest ever has now been put to bed with Maradona admitting Messi's killing him with the goals and Péle... well Péle thinks they're on the same level, lol. He's too egotistical to admit whats happening in front of his very eyes. As I was typing this I got my 4th phone call today... This time the guy said he was from an insurance company and it was about me being in a car accident!!! Nuno Lisboa I will @#$%* kill you. You've no idea what I'm capable of, and you're a sick minded Little bastard. All my phone calls are being recorded from now on. I can't believe it. I'm shaking I'm that angry. |

<Mark> what about changing your phone number? My parents did that but they weren't too happy aboot it I can tell you... Brilliant choice on <Goal of the Century> I remember that like it was yesterday- all match it looked to me like it was impossible to break down Bayern, and that Bayern was simply too good- inevitable they would go on to knock Barca out- and when I saw that goal I thought Messi... THAT'S THE MAGIC THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BARCA AND BAYERN. Last year UEFA knock out match right? I watched every second of that game... |

I know I probably shouldn't rag on <Sterling> so much, he's going to be a great player, but right now he's not and I think it has something to do with his character. I was thinking about that whilst watching the 2-2 ManC-PSG tie, that <DeBruyne> was a much more important person to have in the lineup than <Sterling>- obviously <Sterling> is hurt which is why he's out of the lineup but... <DeBruyne> has a kind of emotional maturity that right now <Sterling> doesn't have. I think he will have it later on though, and rise to his potential. |

| Apr-11-16 | | MarkFinan: Hi Jess.. I left a message for you in my forum and I'm going to get back to you about some football stuff tomorrow because I need an early night. I'll send you the screenshots of how much I've earned from my channels, I'll give you some great tips, I'll show you exactly what to do, and I sorted that thing out anyway but thank you for the email, I appreciate your offer of help. Right.. I'm out for the night I'm shattered X |

<Lads> Please don't post any European footy results in here for at least a few days ok? I'm keen to watch Liverpool and especially Man City on leg two of their matches, and I have to wait for someone to upload the games so the delay can be 24 hours or more, depending. I really want to watch them without already knowing the results. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Hozza> One of the English match commentators mentioned that <Abrahimovic> said he would need 600,000 pounds a week if he were to play in the EPL- that would be on top of the transfer fee of 50 billion, of course... and yes he definitely said 600, not 60.... |

Well Man City through to the semis now- <DeBruyne> man of the match and, arguably, man of the season, when you compare City's results with him in the lineup to their sorry results without him in the lineup. He missed almost a third of the season and he still has 15 goals in all competitions. <Aguero> looked pretty relieved when he was subbed off inside the final minute, and with good reason- he surely would have been blamed for a loss. He took several hard knocks from PSG players right after choking on the penalty, which I don't think is a coincidence. Football players are like sharks, when they smell blood in the water they try to finish you off. But <Aguero> showed yet again that he has tons of character, coming back to finish the match in fine form. Maybe only three indispensable players in City lineup this season- <DeBruyne> <Aguero> and <Mighty Mighty Joe Hart>? Only two more games and it's at least possible that the sitting England champions become European champions too. |

Christiano Renaldo with the hat trick!
Some poor defense on all 3 goals, but he still had to finish. |

<Christiano> answers all critics this season, same as every season. Real is still alive for a treble because of him, I believe? He even scored on a free kick- his free kick record over the last two years is appalling, but he came through at a good time, anointing himself with the hat trick in fine form. The Wolfsburg defender actually stepped aside to let the ball through the wall, but maybe that's testament to the fear <Christiano> still inspires. Today after work I'll watch <Bayern v Benfica> and <Barca v Atletico>. I hate Atletico because of their stubborn defence. For Spanish league opponents to the big two, I like Sevilla most of all because they only play offence. Instead of putting 11 men inside the 6 yard box (Atletico's "tactic" of choice) they put 11 men inside the other side's 6 yard box. This strategy has served Sevilla well in UEFA Europa competition, but not in League play. Still they are the most fun to watch of any Spanish side, for my money. |
|
| Apr-14-16 | | MarkFinan: <<Christiano> answers all critics this season, same as every season> I don't think he has any critics! Apart from the people <still> arguing about who's the best player between him and Messi, a question that was answered long ago, no one criticizes his football. I think it's because he's not very likable and narcissistic but as a footballer he's top 20 ever, without question. I don't see anyone knocking him for that. He's the best footballer <from> planet earth. And my main man Messi not doing so well for the last 5 games, he looks tired and frustrated. Liverpool just made their fans proud tonight, what a game! And I'd agree with you about Athletico Madrid. They get the job done but it's not pretty to watch. You've been watching more Premier League football than me this year!! I'm kinda glad to see a female so interested and knowledgeable. Anyways.. I was only stopping to say that I replied to your email so answer me via email when you have the time. |

<Mark> Quite right. <Liverpool just made their fans proud tonight, what a game!> LOVGREN HEADER AT 90 MINUTES IN GREATEST UEFA UPSET IN ANFIELD HISTORY. This is why we watch the *whole* game, every minute of it. You just never know what will happen. Really you don't. <BT Sports Football announcer:> "Right after Ruess scored I was sure Liverpool was lost." <His fellow announcer>: "You and about 45,000 other people." lol
############################
On Christiano: <I don't think he has any critics!> Except for every football writer in Spain after the first leg in Wolfsburg... <from planet earth> Are you suggesting <Messi> was sent down to earth from the Football Heavens? You won't get an argument from me. I agree with your frequent assessment that he is the greatest player ever to play football. On the Barca slump, it's sad for the fans but I don't think it's an unusual thing to happen after 39 straight victories. That's right? Not just 39 undefeated, but 39 victories? Hard not to relax mentally after such an improbable run. Unfortunately this would be the worst time in the world for Barca to relax. I love UEFA elimination matches. I can't wait to see who <Man City> faces in the semifinal draw now. EPL clubs alive in the semis in Champions *and* Europa league!! |

<Mark> I just checked my email and there's no message from you? Maybe try resending? |
|
| Apr-15-16 | | MarkFinan: I've just resent it now. It's titled.. "I received an email from BOBBY FISCHER!!!!!" 😂 Let me just get back to you about the football. |
|
| Apr-15-16 | | MarkFinan: <Joe Hart is the new Peter Shilton> Well let's hope we don't get the Germans after extra time then. Like Gazza said to Shilton in the semi finals of the 1990 WC... "You are allowed to <try> save penalties yer know!". Anyways.. Our weak link right now is Hart because he's inconsistent. If we get the Germans again I'll cry! I'm going to the Russia game I've got it all arranged. Quick ferry to France, watch the game and straight back home. I'll probably end up in a french opium den with some lady of the night but these things happen, lol.. <On Christiano: <I don't think he has any critics!> Except for every football writer in Spain after the first leg in Wolfsburg...> Well those Spanish tabloids are more fickle than ours, but I never knew they'd blamed Ronaldo for a poor result! The day Ronaldo leaves Madrid the Madristra's will cry because he surely has to be their greatest ever footballer by now. Men lie, woman lie, numbers don't. Check out his goal stats, they're <phenomenal>. <<from planet earth> Are you suggesting <Messi> was sent down to earth from the Football Heavens?> absolutely! He makes me feel like a child, he reminds me of Maradona but just better! <You won't get an argument from me. I agree with your frequent assessment that he is the greatest player ever to play football> I think everyone agrees on that now. In fact I think it's beyond question because all you have to do is watch him to see for yourself. You'll never see a footballer l like him again, he's like.. a genius, if that's the right word! I've said it since 2010. He's the best player I've <ever> seen. Even Noel Gallagher said he's never seen anything like him and he's older than me and he really knows his football. <On the Barca slump, it's sad for the fans but I don't think it's an unusual thing to happen after 39 straight victories. That's right? Not just 39 undefeated, but 39 victories?> Lol! I think it's something like that yes. And it's a bit early to write Barcelona off, they may be out of the Champions League but they'll be back challenging next year. I don't know whether the current Barcelona side are better than the one from 5 or 6 years ago but they're just mesmerizing to watch. Trav.. I thank you for the email and I replied earlier mate. Let me know if you didn't get it because there must be something wrong my end if not. |
