May-25-11  Travis Bickle: Jess here's a very early Beatles song with Sir Paul on lead vocals.

May-25-11  technical draw: <fionas88888> You're lucky you're not in Texas. Calling somebody a cheater in Texas could get you to the grave early. Anyway even with rhino's 20+ grand he's no where near the record which could go into the hundreds of thousands.

<JFQ> My secret formula only works for pick 3 lotteries.

May-25-11  madlydeeply: ha tech d! you remind me of my redneck aunt.... during a "friendly family poker game".. when i was about twelve... i neglected to let her cut the deck before i dealt, and she sneered at me (little kid) and said..."boy...people get shot for that". Duh! Rednecks. Wonderful people. So witty! THIS HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT and all opinions are solely those of madlydeeply thank you very much
May-25-11  madlydeeply: perhaps i should say your STORY reminds me of my aunt, not Tech D himself, good sir

jessicafischerqueen: <deeply mad> Aha- so if I read your anecdote correctly, you are suggesting that <technical draw> is your aunt?

That would make you his niece!

Quite an honor, I should think.

May-26-11  A.G. Argent: <...the most underrated American film ever made.> Well, I guess so. About time somebody recognized that fact. Took first place at Cannes in '96 and came in second later that year at Sundance. I hadn't seen it in a while but just seeing that trailer made me jump up and slam the dead bolt home, front door and back, frantically rummage through the drawer for loose shotgun shells and turn on all the lights in the house. And it's broad daylight. Chilling. Thanks, JQ. As usual, your finger is on the pulse of all things cinematic.
May-26-11  Travis Bickle: I admit Donnie Darko was a creepy flick but your the English Literature Professor here, what did it mean? ; P
May-26-11  Travis Bickle: Jess now here is the definitive cover of A Taste Of Honey by Herb Albert & The Tijuana Brass!! Also a lovely album cover! ; P

  kingscrusher: Hi Jessica

I believe I have a very hard trivia question to solve without asking Tal himself (which would be hard to do!):

What did Tal mean when he said after losing to Fischer in 1961:

"It is difficult to play against Einstein's theory"

Someone asked this question here:

http://www.thechessmind.net/blog/20...

What do you personally think Fischer meant?!

I am going to try and video annotate this win shortly as it follows logically on 2 years later from Tals 4-0 over Fischer - Fischer's revenge game!

  jessicafischerqueen: <T-Dawg> I don't have the slightest idea what <Donnie Darko> means.

All I know is that the Giant Rabbit skeered me bad, and that I was disappointed when the movie later seemed to suggest it was just in Donnie's head.

I believe it was real.

Have you seen this horror film? It's almost as good- American Rock Icon <Rod Argent> also thinks it's a great film:

May-26-11  technical draw: <JFQ> All those numbers in my secret formula are just stats. I'm looking for some kind of pattern using both real numbers and hierarchical numbers. I have found nothing so far. I do this to make playing the pick 3 more interesting, ie, getting entertainment value for my dollar; and who knows, I might actually win sometime!

kingscrusher: Jessica, to understand Donnie Darko, there is a cheat page called Wiki which I had to read, because I didn't have a clue what I just saw when i watched it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donnie...

Clearly from this, there is evidence of time travel, and him choosing to be alone, and uncovering some stuff about people in the town in the process.

Cult classic film.
