Good call on the Squidmas Spirit, <Ohio>, especially since it isn't even Hello Squid! yet.

This year I'm dressing up as a squid, but then again so will everyone else here.

Der Bingle was arguably the most influential male singer of the 20th century. He said "Everything I know about singing, I learned from Louis Armstrong."

<T-Bone>! Jinx I played the English exclusively as white for over a year, and had good results with it too.

The position you got here was always the variation I was aiming for:

You punished him!

Nice one <tbone>. In addition, I put your game score into the rigged poll machinery and it gave out another "no" vote which will have to be counted.

Did <Der Bingle> really mean that aboot <SATCHMO> or was he joking around? I'm going to go with "he meant it" amirite.

QUESTION: Do you think this is a coincidence?

<John Travolta> Interestingly, they know all aboot the GREAT WHITE SHARK in Korea, though they don't have any. They base their knowledge entirely on the movie JAWS, which every single Korean has seen.

They call sharks "jaws." They don't ever say shark, they only say "jaws."

They even have a ice cream treat shaped like a shark's fin called a "Jaws Bar."

They pronounce this "jossbah"

OhioChessFan: This is interesting and a bit spooky. Apparently blue link magic can be prophetic. 2 days ago I posted this on <chancho> forum:

chancho chessforum (kibitz #9036)

And somehow that magically entered your mind and caused you to reference it 2 days later on the Stroganoff page.

That is legitimately spooky, certainly interesting- how could that happen, given that I haven't checked in <Lotsapoppa's> forum in months?

Absatively posilutely! Satchmo was the most influential musician of his time. Ebrydoby went to learn at his feet. Guys like Glen Miller, the Dorseys, Cab Calloway, you name it. He was the real King of Swing.

The Bingle/Kringle connection hasn't been proven conclusively. However I've always suspected that Denise Crosby was an elf https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasha....
