| Apr-15-17 | | crawfb5: <Gull with a wedge> You may already know that *helpmeet* is the older form of *helpmate*. If you're not familiar with the wicked world of chess problems, a <helpmate> is a perverse sort of problem where White and Black cooperate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helpm... |

<Bigg>
You get an extra "g" aggain for that last post. The difference between me and you and <Teem> is that you and <Teem> make puns that actually have logic, gusting up to genius, behind them. <Martinez> is no slouch either. I knew what a <helpmate> was, but I didn't think of that until you reminded me. I still don't know what a <helpmeet> is, but I have a general idea. I think it's the politically correct term for the "paralympics," where various <differently abled> folks get to have an <olympic track meet> against each other, with <help> from <regularly abled> folks who ferry them around in electric carts and such. I haven't actually seen a <helpmeet> but I saw highlights on youtube. Oops sorry- I meant I saw <differently heighted lights>. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Bigg> for example- your <helpmates are usually a problem> Literally chess helpmates *are* problems, and husbands/wives are certainly problems as well. If that's what a "helpmate" is.
One could mount a stiff argument that it also refers to any of a variety of reputable dating websites. |

The Code is an Aussie film set in the country's capital: http://playmakermedia.com.au/produc... The dialogue was a bit clunky in places but it was fascinating to see my home town in a TV series, and especially the camera angles and lighting to make the most of the city's main features. |

FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON FOR <Moose Dembele> AND TOTTENHAM ARE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!!! whee I'm watching Saturday's fixture v Bournemouth right now- We're number 2! We're number 2!
lol "Moose" Dembele and that's his real name too. If there's anything better than top shelf footy I'd like to know aboot it. |

<Teem> Jinx! Your fine pun seems indeed to have helped a mate find his way to the forum. <Doggimus> is an Aussie. He hails from Wallaby's Balls Sheep Station, New South Whales, if I'm not mistaken. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Doggimus> ta, I'd forgotten all aboot that. I'm going to find the movie now- I'm keen to see location shots of your two up, one down bungalow in fabulous Wallaby's Balls Sheep Station! |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Doggimus> THE CODE is a TV show of two (2) seasons, as you know, but I just found out. I'll start watching episode 1 (one) tomorrow. I was slightly wrong aboot the location- it appears that you hail from Wallaby's Balls Sheep Station, Canberra- not New South Whales! |

| Apr-17-17 | | twinlark: <THE CODE is a TV show of two (2) seasons, as you know, but I just found out.> I just found out about the second season yesterday. Missed it when it was aired, it's been taken off the station's movie-on-demand archive, and hasn't been ordered by my library. Quite frustrating. |
|
| Apr-17-17 | | twinlark: <I was slightly wrong aboot the location- it appears that you hail from Wallaby's Balls Sheep Station, Canberra> Indeed. Photos to follow. |

I'm his agent <WIN WHAN SUOHN> He's got some Chinese tycoons based in Dubai looking to buy into it,they'cve been alerted to how popular he is.. a SLEEPING GIANT they reckon... .. the negotiations are still on going tho .... TOP SECRET stuff ... In the meantime <Harold> is still floating around on this site ... he ESPECIALLY likes making a fool of himself in this sites cosy relaxed cafe. lol lol |

<Hozza> Well met! I won't be disappearing for spring training, since it's the most exiting part of the world footy schedule and I'll be staying current around 1-2 days behind the actual results. For example I'm only a day behind now- about to watch the ManU-Chelsea fixture in a few minutes and I'm looking forward to it. I doubt Spurs can catch Chelsea but I'm hoping Merino's extremely strange, and extremely boring, United squad can come up with an inspired performance. QUESTION: is Merino's edition of ManU every bit as boring as Van Gall's? I'm thinking it is. THEY HAVE SOME OF THE BEST PLAYERS ON THE PLANET AND NOT ONE OF THEM CAN BLOODY FINISH. The only player who can finish on a regular basis is <Zlatan> and he's pushing 60 now. <Pogba> cannot finish. I could show you twenty instances from the past month alone where all he's got to do is steer the ball into the net and he skies it. Maybe he'll become a great player, but at the moment he's not even a reliable player. Mikitarian is the only other beside <Zlatan> who plays with any energy or creative spark. lol United.
FA CUP SEMIS next week and both fixtures look like they'll be corkers. I can't wait= I wish we had Danny Rose and Victor Waynama and Erik Lamella fit for Chelsea next week but even then I have my doubts we could beat them. Conte's got his heart set on a double and just think- if he'd inherited a squad that had finished in the top 3 last year he might even be looking at a treble. Chelsea look monstrous, just monstrous, game in game out. The Chelsea-Palace game was grand though- Did you know Palace now has every single African international on their squad? It sure looks like it lol. <Wilf Zaha> player of the month for me. |
|
| Apr-17-17 | | harrylime: Ok so your back for half a season then ! lol
Jose did ... oh you've not watched it yet ... I'll hold back on that then .. ! lol Just to say Jose IS getting there ! Even tho his post match interviews are beyond parody now .. ! lol zzzzz ! Oh and coz I follow Daaaaarrrrbeh ... I know much more about the Championship than I do the prem ... just letting ya know like lol I'll put a TOP TEN footy list Ooooop on ere shortly of all that's annoying me just now in the beautiful game ... I'd also go into VOODOO heaven to get Spurs to over take Chelski. lol |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Hozza> Yes quite right- What a game! I don't think I've ever seen a manager outplay another manager so massively. <Merino> OWNED <Conte>, and on the pitch, <Herrera> OWNED <Hazard> lolol "man to man marking", and <Rashford> OWNED the Chelsea back three. <United> pressed with such energy that <Chelsea> had no time on the ball, no time to establish a rhythm, let alone an attack. That was also the most exciting game I've seen this year. FOUR POINTS! <Spurs> only 4 points back of the title now. I think it's really important that <Spurs> show they can play their game against <Chelsea> in the FA Cup Semi, the same way <Spurs> have been imposing themselves on all other opposition, and producing goals from such a wide variety of sources. Even MOOSE DEMBELE scored, hammering one in with his great antlers. No goalie in the world could have stopped that. I look forward to your TOP TEN footy list of annoying factors--- I'll add one of my own after I see yours. If <Spurs> keep up their record breaking string of consecutive wins, <Chelsea> only has to lose one (1) more league game, and then draw another, for a <Spurs> title to become a mathematical possibility. On you Spurs!

<Spurs Schedule>- looks a little tough to me: April 23- Chelsea (FA Cup semifinal)
April 26- Crystal Palace (away)
April 30- Arsenal (home)
May 5- West Ham (away)
May 14- Man United (home)
May 18- Leceister (away)
May 21- Hull (away) |

Tottenhams' run in is tough.. Chelsea still MASSIVE favourites. |
|
| Apr-19-17 | | harrylime: Here's my TOP TEN Football MOAN IN just now !
1. <VAR>'s
We NEED this ... I'm just sick and tired of seeing officials getting it wrong .. The game is too fast for them now ... They need help .. Technology is there to be used ... use it.. .. The France v Spain game is an example https://www.theguardian.com/footbal... 2.<PLAYER POWER> Lestah city players downed tools for poor old Claudio ... got him the sack. ... This is a relatively new phenomenon in the game .. but is fast becoming more and more prevalent .. Jose suffered it too at Chelski .. Footballers on 400k a week going behind their managers back crying to the club owners ... it makes me sick ! Yuck ! lol |
|
| Apr-19-17 | | harrylime: <FAKING IT>
Yes. Football players aware an opponent is bearing down on them .. so they fall to the ground ... Football players being hit in the groin with the ball falling to ground clutching their head .. Football players feigning headbutts in confrontations ...Football players doing back flips like a fish outta water when actually nobody has touched them .. it's ALL embarrassing ... and REFS still GET suckered into things ... as long as refs get suckered , all this faking it will continue ... (see VARS No 1 ) lol |
|
| Apr-19-17 | | harrylime: Where am I ?
Number 7 ?
Ok half time lol
I need to change my formation . |
