<Big Sam Allardyce>, genius?

He took over Palace when it looked like they'd be relegated, and now he's posted wins over Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

He's also great at rubbing it in. After knocking off Liverpool, he said

"possession isn't 9/10ths of the law- what you *do* with the possession is 9/10ths of the law."

lol>

Genius is a word too far with "BIG SAM" ! lol

Let's see what he does with Palace next season ..

Sure.. he's turned it around at that TIN POT CROYDON club .. ( sorry , but I don't like em !)

But let's just hold back on the knighthood stuff re him for now lol

He's a ledge tho ..

Apr-27-17  harrylime: Question <Jezzarhino>

<Teem> Respect!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cle_E...

I'm impressed by your work as an important Leaky Pedia editor. <Big> is also a noted editor there- did you see him in the snack room? You can often find him there buying Malomars out of the machine.

Even more respect for going to all that trouble to cover your tracks. I did some *real* research and discovered that <Cle Elum> is actually a character actor who appeared in several Spaghetti Westerns.

In the climactic "Toreador Scene" of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, <Elum> plays one of the flagstones.

You can spot him in this clip hyeah:

On a rare serious note, did you really do all this work?

This is a superb article on the fabled "Cle Elum" that future generations will enjoy forever, or at least until the sun swallows up the earth.

<Who are the only two English football clubs whose "nickname" has become their club name ?>

I can't even hazzard a guess on this one, but I'm going to try.

<Birmingham Baggies>

<Sheffield Wednesday>

QUESTION: Does <Cheff> still have two footy clubs?

Is there a big game <Cheff U> v <Darby County> coming up?

Will you go to the stadium to watch, and if so, how many fights will you start in the standing room tier?

<How would you define a "big" club in English football ?>

I only know what I mean when I say "big" club, which is the handful of clubs at the top tier of the premier leagues who have the most money.

So how much money the club has is the only decider of who is "big" when I say a club is "big."

With one exception- any club that has <crawfb5> on the roster is also "big" by definition.

<Hozza> this Cruyff memorial video is AWESOME QUALITY brah, thank you!

One of my favorite parts is that I don't understand what the hell they are saying, so "words" don't get in the way of enjoying the spectacle.

"Sarry bud, we don't larn Dutch in the U.S."

Notice how I snuck the obviously fictitious Kittitas County in there. And how it never rains on Cle Elum.

<Hozza> Man the Dutch must make the best fan footy vids ever.

In the fine clip you linked here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hJ... - the punters appear to have set fire to the stadium.

Did you notice that, following Dutch custom, the geezer in the middle of the bonfire is always a midget?
