Your later recollection is bang on, as the nail said to the hammer.

I did indeed suggest that I did not want to run the moves of your game through an engine as that would be jejune, an activity that could be described now as the century retreats into the future, as an exercise in jejunuity or even jejunuousness.

I didn't, as a matter of fact, but I'm very pleased to know it now.

<Hazz> Alan Shearer lol...

Brilliant- I can see him as a useful piece of wood, but to me he seems more like a comfortable old shoe.

Did you notice the resurgence of <Ajax>?

They only do one thing- ever- which is attack all the time. The average age of the squad is around 17.

I've seen their last three matches now and I'm punting for them to win the <Europa League>.

<Man U> has around a million times more talent, and yet so tedious to watch, even when they're winning.

I do like <Jose and Co.>, really I do, but this "slow buildup with 50,0000,000 pound players" can be surprisingly dull to watch.

Not <Ajax> though. I'm hoping for a <United v Ajax> final.

Finally! A match where I could cheer for both sides. I'm sick of backing the losing side, but I have to follow my heart.

<Hazza> Also what's up with this <Newcastle> business in the <EFL Cup competition>?

I watched them v <Preston> and I couldn't figure out what the announcers were saying.

So <Newcastle> will be promoted back to the <EPL>? Is that for sure?

Is that legal brah.

I can tell you I was happy to see <Bonobo Chimp Shelvey> again though. I loved watching him play when he was on <Swansea>.

Ta <Doggimus>.

So I was accidentally right for a change. I'm pleased though to finally learn what "jejune" means.

Your definition is brilliant and should immediately be inserted into all dictionaries, and a few other places for good measure:

<jejune, an activity that could be described now as the century retreats into the future, as an exercise in jejunuity or even jejunuousness.>

Rite as rain. I don't know what makes rain right, but I live in the PNW so it must be true,

The colon to the right of my handle are the eyes. So it's a cyclops with two eyes. The hyphen is the nose and the angle is an impish smile, as though I've just got away with something though I didn't because I was too dumb.

<Big Sam Allardyce>, genius?

He took over Palace when it looked like they'd be relegated, and now he's posted wins over Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

He's also great at rubbing it in. After knocking off Liverpool, he said

"possession isn't 9/10ths of the law- what you *do* with the possession is 9/10ths of the law."

lol

Congratulations on your new career as a Canberra <Wombats R Us> manager.

This certainly sounds more appetizing than your previous job as a <shark wrangler> in Perth.
