<Tim> It is a clever game series to be sure. I only did game play on that one scenario you passed me, so I couldn't have guessed the secret items even if I knew the secret items.

Your post reminded me of a similar practice of some film directors to put visual references or homages into their mise en scene, to be identified by clue hunting fans.

Actually I thought of one of the darkest examples from <Hans Jurgen Syberberg's> seven hour film about Adolf Hitler. In one segment a narrator is speaking about something, and there are several objects near him that are not addressed or explained. You might not even notice any of them. One was a piece of wood from the "Buchenwald Oak," a tree that <Goethe> was supposed to have sat under to write poetry. The camp of Buchenwald was built around this tree, which had a wire fence around it.

I doubt Sam and Max would approve.

I sent you the whole game, y'know.

Did you make it all the way to Bosco's? Then you would meet the paranoid psychotic Bosco and one of the Soda Poppers (more than jerks). And learn the mystery of "Eye Bo".

Jul-28-18  thegoodanarchist: Hi <jessicaF.A.Q.>

I've been thinking of a change of scenery in my career. A BIG change.

Like, "going to Korea to teach" kind of change. So I was wondering if you could help me with a few questions:

1. How did you find your Korean teaching gig?
2. Any tips for an American who'd like to obtain such a gig?
3. Do you know of a good synonym for "gig"?

Thanks in advance!

<The Good Anteater>

1. http://www.footprintsrecruiting.com... This is a highly reputable Canadian based outfit. Be sure to "vet" any other recruiting firms you might research. Protip: never, ever, ever sign up with a "recruiting firm" that asks you for any money "up front." Reputable firms get there money "on the back end," much like hoes.

2. White Americans are the demographic they are looking for. You will quite literally be treated as a demigod. Koreans love everything about American culture, they can't get enough of it. They also like African American Americans, but not nearly as much as "whitey." You can tell the rich girls in your classes by this sign- at least half of the girls will have gotten eye surgery to make themselves look more white. But there will only be a smattering of girls who look like ghosts. This is because the cosmetic surgery to get round eyes is cheap, but the melanin treatments favored by such American pop stars who are dying to be "more white," like Michael Jackson and Beyonce, are expensive. Those will be your rich girls.

Be prepared to:

At least "look like" you are working hard. Koreans only care about appearances. They don't actually care if you do nothing at your work station, but they will want you to be there for your full shift. Popular "work activities" are gambling online and playing fantasy football.

Dodge motorcycles traveling, at speed, on sidewalks. And dodge cars on the roads because red lights are treated as "a suggestion" and I am not kidding.

The best synonym for "gig" in the case of a white man is "sinecure." You will work a third as hard as your Korean colleagues and get away with it. Koreans know that Americans are bone lazy, by Korean standards, but they understand that people who aren't Korean don't work 14 hour shifts.

Bonus answer: Good looking Korean girls will queue up, and they are not looking for "marriage material," if you catch my drift. White Americans are at a premium. You can be any number of girls' "status symbol."

Bonus answer II: There is no such thing as "political correctness" in Korea. They don't understand, or care, what "diversity" is because 99.9% of them are Koreans and they do not like foreigners, unless they are from English speaking countries- and preferably white. They particularly despise southeast Asians, Vietnamese in particular. Koreans unabashedly regard these people to be subhuman. If a Korean girl married a southeast Asian, her family would disown her. Literally.

<Tim> I don't have my game anymore. I also don't have most of my horror film collection or my laptop. I left all that sitting on a bench in Inchon airport and somebody stole it- I never got it back.

Of 14 external hard drives, only 6 made it back to Canada because I had put them in my suitcase. Which I didn't lose.

The game is resting comfortably in the new Miscellaneous folder. Download and delete at your leisure. It is taking up almost all the space.

Thank you SO MUCH! for the advice. It is greatly appreciated.

I have been going to the gym frequently, so I am ready to dodge motorcycles, cars, llamas, runaway snowballs and the like...

My <Good Anteater> it's no problem brah.

There's another plus point to Korea- if you don't know where you are, don't hesitate to approach a stranger and ask. Try to find someone around 35 years old or younger.

Koreans are very proud of their ability to speak English, and they consider talking to a native English person the "big test."

They are very happy if they can speak English well enough to help you. Koreans are hard wired to help anyone who asks them for help on the street, or in a store, but in order to successfully help an English speaking foreigner they will make an extraordinary effort, because it presents a challenge.

Koreans are always up for a challenge or difficult task- they term such situations "missions," an English word that every Korean knows and uses.

Jul-29-18  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: Sammax has just finished downloading!!!>

Hilarity ensues.

Should I delete the game now? It's taking up all the space on DroopPox. Also, are we done with the Bingo Buggins files? We should probably remove stuff when we're done with them.

I just imagine that the "mission" is exactly like the "challenge" in this video:

Speaking of which, aren't you in Japan yourself?

You could probably get a better read of the Korean scene than I could give you, simply by investing in a powerful telescope amirite.

Jul-30-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: Jess. I'm very sad to hear the news of Daniel Freeman passing away. I don't know what's happened, now's not the time for that, I guess you'll know more than me but I honestly can't believe it. I felt like I knew the guy, we'd ironed out our differences, only had one suspension this year, I spoke to him last week.. Very shocking. 51 is no age.

<Doctor> I feel the same- I am gutted. I loved him. I also spoke to him a week ago and he just about bent over backwards to teach me a technical issue about how to use the website better.

Jul-30-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: I know how you must feel, love. He was really interested in my YouTube channels, always pleasant with me, I only recall him losing his temper with me once and I can test the patience of a saint when I'm in a hurry, lol. I seriously feel like I knew him, we'd just sorted everything out. He was a tremendous help recently, I don't usually get shocked when people I don't know die but this time I'm pretty shocked and a little upset, I feel sorry for him, his friends, family, children. He was a well loved guy and regardless of the past I genuinely had a soft spot for him. RIP Mr Freeman. X

Btw. Keysers lost his mind, I think he's implying it's my fault. Real talk! I don't know!?

It is, but it the one about Korea isn't as funny.

<Speaking of which, aren't you in Japan yourself?>

I lived & worked in Japan for a while. Been back in the USA for a while.

Sad today about Daniel. Age 51. His life was cut short too early. I wonder what was the cause?

Jul-30-18  Boomie: <Jessie Fish: The Bilbo Baggins folder is no longer in my Drop Box?>

There were two files in the Movies folder, a MPG and a AVI version. I removed them. The Box should be empty now.
