lol vintage <Hozza> you realize that "no body" blocked your kibbutzing numbers at the Kafe eh?

Over a year ago they put in a robot algorithm that appears to be getting smarter as time goes on. Possibly it is an "artificially intelligent" robot who can learn.

Anyways <Daniel> did post how the robot works when he made it. Originally, the more people who put you on ignore, the lower the number of posts you can make. If you exceed the limit, you won't be able to post again. This "ban" is temporary and should be gone by the next day.

Nowadays I think the "artifically improved robot who can think" can recognize socks. So now I think the socks are treated as coming from one member.

So the old ploy of running out of posting privileges and then switching to a sock may not work any more. Or not work as well.

You do understand that posting 30,000 music videos a day in the Kafe constitutes spamming eh?

I know spamming, believe me.

When I was locked in a bitter race with <brankat> and <chessmoron> to see who could get the "forum with the most posts in it," I was posting "quack" upwards of 100,000 times a day.

This worked- for a short time.

<Chessmoron's> approach was more sophisticated, albeit slower. He would post chess puzzles under his <chessmoron> account, and then solve them right after under his <dragonprize> sock.

So <Daniel> killed the duck. Then he killed the dragon.

Then he dropped the bomb- he deleted the "most popular forum" category from the cg.com "interesting statistics page."

Game- over. Daniel vs Spamming Socks 1-0

Lost in the shuffle was poor <Chess Classics>. Before all this started, he had the most popular forum, and he didn't do any sockking at all.

I can still remember what he said when he realized what was going on:

"You jerks! I used to have the most popular forum"

Anyhoo just to let you know, I really do know sock spamming. First hand. Over the years I have probably been banned/restricted more times than anyone.

Sadly, I gave up sock spamming a long time ago, so I'm not really up on the current state of "I fought the law- and the law won".

So what I said about your activity in the Kafe, I am only guessing.

At the end of the day, my actual knowledge base on this topic is zero (0).

On a much more important topic, HERE COMES THE NIGHT is one of the greatest songs ever. Van Morrison before he was "Van Morrison".

I used to listen to Astral Weeks for weeks on end. Literally.

"To be born, again..."

<Hozza>

heh.. nice one, reminds me of your post about "Aviation Safety" when they were flying flags over the Emirates calling for <Arsenio Hall Wenge's> head. Turns out they got that in the end eh?

I don't think United punters are going to start flying aircraft over <Old Day of the Triffids> calling for <Old Gunner Soelskaeoer's> head. Speaking of which, where is <Jose Merinho Sheep's> head these days? Is it stuck on a pike on Sir Matt Busby Way?

I'm just now watching the Derby and a cracking match I have to say, narrated by the best team in footy- <Martin Tyler>, <Jamie Aircraft Carragher>, and especially <Gary Neville>, the crabbiest pundit in England. It's half time so I will report back a bit later.

Well the second <Peptic Ulcer Gardiola> stuck <Leroy Insane> on at the start of the half I figured time's up for the Reds. <Insane> scores or assists in almost every game he plays. He should be spoken of in the same breath as <Mohamed "Green" Salad> or <President Barack Aubameyang>.

Poor <David de Hayride> he's had a terrible month and a terrible day again in the derby. I think he's more likely to go before next season than is <Old Gunner Sjarkksoenaen>.

<Hozza> I'm going to go with <The Faces> version for 200, Jack.

1. I like Rod Stewart's voice.

2. This version has an actual melody. You know, with notes and rhythm and such. Unlike the trendy metrosexual abortions served up by 99.99% of the inhabitants of the current Billboard charts, if they even have those nowadays.

3. <The Faces> underrated and unjustly forgotten, even by old people who only like old music. To be fair, they (and me) are probably even more pathetic than current fans of atonal metrosexual pandering garbage.

Old people always think young people are crazy and evil. It's always been that way, probably always will.

<Hozza> Predictably, I like <The Honeycombs> video. English music has always stolen just the right parts of American music, which invented everything since Mozart died.

But I like the way English acts (used to) add in the bucolic lyrical element, from as far back as Wordsworth's <Tintern Abbey>.

Lying on the banks of the river in Cambridge, high on crappy grass and noodling on your guitar. That's how <David Gilmore> grew up.

It took <Roger Waters> to write the bucolic, romantic, ridiculously English lyrics. Seriously it's unique and this is one of the best (or worst) examples, replete with what my old friend Doug said were "mechanical birds". I don't think they are though. Probably they sampled some birds with one of those old "taped" recorders or some such.

Anyways this is what I dream about, when I'm not dreaming about being a <Pink Floyd> groupie/roadie in the 1960s- "Grantchester Meadows", live from a most excellent one hour <Floyd> show in America.

On this track Waters and Gilmore both sing. You can always tell when it's Gilmore's turn because it actually sounds good then.

"In the lazy water meadow, I lay me down..."

I did however spot Wolves tearing Arsenal a new one. Big favor to Spurs fans thank you very much lads. Did you notice that <Emri Emory Board's> facial expression has no relation to what happens on the pitch? Every single time the camera zooms in on him he looks exactly as if someone had just slapped him in the face. What's up with that amirite.

Jezza you do need to know England INVENTED THE WORLD. 😚😉 Everything you see around you was invented in Blighty.

For example Blighty invented Canada. A brit explorer was looking for the North Pole when his ship became frozen. To pass time he and his fellow Brits had fun with a dead Seal and sailing Oars by inventing the game of Ice Hockey. Having already invented Canada's national sport and with the ice still holding sway , they cracked open barrels of wine which bore the label "Canada Dry" , and having all got merry on this and seeing the vast dry white expanse of nothingness in front of them, decided to christen the land CANADA.

The Frenchies arrived later and tried to subvert this, but Canada already existed by then.

Whenever they are about to cut to him, the network goon runs up and slaps him.

<Hozza> lol poor <Maitland Niles> that was a weak call by the ref. I bet 99% of refs would have let him off. In fact I think the "two yellows = a red" should be revisited. I don't think it's a good rule at all. First, you get the "soft reds" like <Maitland Niles> got, and then you get the "free card passes" from dinks who just know the ref isn't going to give them their second yellow, so they feel free to put the spikes in.

Also call me crazy but the Premiere League shouldn't bring in VAR. This "late flagging of the offside" that is demanded by VAR regime is bogus. <Jamie Aircraft Carragher> and <Alan Shearer> and a bunch of others don't like that part either.

On the other hand, no VAR, no Champions League semifinal for Spurs either, so I don't know.

lol <Lorente> scoring with his hip...

He got a lot of stick in his early tenure with Spurs, but I remember him single handedly keeping <Swansea> in the Premier League. The next year <Swansea> were relegated, and they would have been relegated the previous year if <Lorente> hadn't been there. He was the only one who ever scored any goals for them.

My enjoyment of Gunners losing has not washed the bad taste out of my mouth after watching Spurs play like a bunch of sick nuns against <West Brom>. Maybe they can't think of anything else except the first leg against <Ajax>.

What if <Ajax> wins the OOFA Championship? Will they still sell off every single star like they've done for the last 20 years? The "strategy" that has gutted <Southampton>?

The punters for both clubs should 1.riot and then 2.never buy another ticket- ever.

Ok back later I am still catching up with "Super Sunday."

<The Accurate Anteater>

Mystery: SOLVED

I had no idea that GOBBLE knew so much about football. I agree that GARBLED can never be wrong. It has artificial intelligence that can learn from outside sources such as <The Terminator> with Arnold Schwartz.

Science proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll2...

I'd just like to add how much I like Gunners gaffer <Unai Emery> and not just because he reminds me of <Borat>.

He loves footy and footy loves him.

<Hozza> Another triumph for your movie recs!

<The Sisters Brothers> is excellent thank you, and I would never have heard of it otherwise.

<Joaquin Phoenix> <Jake Guggenheim> and <John C. Reilly> how could you miss with this quality.

This movie proves yet again that <The Western> will never die. I rate this movie 8/10.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt497134...

Fun fact: Did you know that Blighty invented "The Western" genre?

They also invented "gasoline" and the board game "parcheesi".

Hey I'm so pleased you enjoyed The Sisters Brothers. It's deffo ooooop there, and yes indeed the Western is far from dead as a genre. I'll give you my TOP TEN Westerns in a bit. Just need to have a think .

Hey BTW did you ever watch that Sci Fi movie I recommended to you, namely "The Frame" ? I must have watched it around 10 times lol .. Love it. 😄

Re the Footy I reckon itz gonna be a Barca v Ajax final . Easy prediction for me to make after the first legs I know but both just seem to have more to offer talent wise.

Spurs have been classic SPURSY... In that what team loses their best two players for the most important game in their recent history?? I know it's unlucky ect ... But it's typical Spurs tho ! Bonkers ! lol

Those MANC Dubai Bloooooze look unstoppable just now. Tears in scouseland and folk throwing themselves into the Mersey as I write this lol lol

Hope all good with yoooooooze.
