I sometimes post links to those video annotations on the relevant games here. Please use the "Subscribe" button on my channel page to keep notified of new ones.

Played in the main British Chess Championship twice now, scoring 4.5 and 5 respectively (out of 11 - it is tough!).

I have created various video annotation grouping pages, which may be of interest for you to check out:

I'm not named Kingscrusher for nothing. I learned chess at the age of 5 and have been addicted every since. It was through watching my father playing against my brother that I picked up the game.

My other hobbies watching the latest films, Computing, going out, seeing friends, watching TV.

The answer to life, the universe and everything was forty-two according the the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. But maybe for chess players it should be 64!!

When i was nearly 18, I managed to win the UK LLoyds bank Under 18 championship! In later years I attained a FIDE rating through the Lloyds bank Masters tournaments and through other tournaments such as Surrey and all play alls organised through Adam Raoof. Currently FIDE rated 2177. My BCF grading has been fluctuating over the years and is currently about 185 BCF, and I am play for Board 1 for both Barnet chess club and Muswell Hill chess club. My full chess cv can be found here:-

(sorry for the use of Wayback machine!)

In 2008, I finally qualified for the British Chess Championship by coming 2nd= at the Southend Open tournament with an ECF 206 performance.

University- I studied computing in business and obtained a 2:1 honours degree

My life advice is: have fun and enjoy life to the maximum! - I hope that chessworld.net helps in this goal! :-))))

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> good idea to put all your playlists on the front page of your youtube channel.

I'm very excited about the upcoming video to advertise the playlists as well- I agree that they are valuable ways to organize and promote youtube material. I make them all the time "for my own reference"-

LOL such as when I spent two days making an "Evolution of Style" playlist which you had already made.

However, I did that playlist for my own benefit, as a research resource for my own history videos.

Ok <Nakamura> yes of course he is the hottest chessplayer on the planet. Of the new playlists, his is the only one with a lot of views already.

I have looked closely at your existing playlists- I don't want to duplicate work again, but just to let you know- when I make a playlist of your videos on an individual Chess Master, I include every single video you ever made on that player. So it's a complete record.

I have you on subscription, so I'll be automatically alerted every time you make a new video that would go in one of my playlists of your work.

Here are two new ones:

<Kingscrusher> on <Ivanchuk>: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_li...

<Kingscrusher> on <Short>: http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists...

If you happen to notice any of your videos are missing from any of the Master Collections I make, do let me know so I can keep the record complete.

Happy Korean New Year!

Eventually.

LOL you have made 20,000 videos already.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> I haven't thoroughly checked your own collections on <Anand> and <Kasparov>, but I have a question- do those collections include every video you've done about them?

If not, should I make a collection for both of these world champions that does include every one of your videos on them?

The more playlists with your name, and the names of the world champions, in the "tag box," the more ways there are for people to accidentally find your videos when they do chess searches on youtube.

I believe your Fischer collection is already complete?

  kingscrusher: Hi Jessica

Please do make playlists for Anand and Kasparov - the navigation is good on those playlists.

Thanks for all your playlists so far - amazing work, and of course it will be going on the Videos menu at Chessworld soon.

Best wishes

  kingscrusher: Hi Jessica

I updated my Chessworld page:

http://www.chessworld.net/chessclub...

Feb-07-11
Premium Chessgames Member
jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> that page looks pretty snazzy- actually they all do eh?

The layout you are using at your website has great aesthetics- clear, beautiful, colored, you can add photos, videos to the text, and the font is good.

Lots of people never leave your website, employing it as a "one stop chess playground," so embedding all your youtube videos there is a grand idea.

In fact, I prefer to navigate from the video pages of <letsplaychess.com>, because it's easier to see what's where. In addition, because embedded playlists automatically open in a new window, you don't have to keep backtracking.

I have to start work again tomorrow- so it might take a few days to finish up the last two Champions.

Interesting to call the list <FIDE Champions>-

They aren't, strictly speaking- but that *is* the list of <recognized world champions> that FIDE agrees with, and prefers.

So I agree that's the best title for the list.

Biggest advantage of course is that it clarifies the controversial?! split from FIDE when <Nigel> <Ray> and <Garry> started their own "big show."

Feb-07-11
Premium Chessgames Member
  kingscrusher: Hi Jessica

Yep, it is looking great and FIDE avoids the split controversy.

I've just reordered my own personal book collection in terms of historical figures on a time line and I realise that Korchnoi, Bronstein, etc - the "Uncrowned Kings" should also be on the Playlists page.

Please could you also do playlists for the "uncrowned kings" as voted by this particular website:

http://www.phileo.demon.co.uk/uk_fi...

Feb-07-11
Premium Chessgames Member
  jessicafischerqueen: Good idea, good list.

UNCROWNED KINGS

I was trying to think of others, maybe <Tarrasch>.

But not "maybe" <Bronstein>= he should be there for sure- certainly if <Larsen's> there, he has to be ahead of him even?!

24 games in a row against <Botvinnik> in 1950 and he did not "lose" the match, he only "lost" because the Champ got draw odds.

Anyways I'd like to add <Bronstein> to that list, and start a collection on him too.

You know what's exciting about this is that FIDE Champs and UNCROWNED KINGS games collections will be a "shadow organization" as your <Evolution of Style> series moves up to Capa, Alekhine, Euwe, and the Soviet School, currently underrepresented in your annotated videos.

So as you make the upcoming new Evolution of Style vids, they can be added one by one to my collections, so there will be two directions from which punters can find them on youtube.

I know this might sound like an advert for <David Bronstein> but he had a distinctive style- very very strong with the initiative in Open Middle Games, an aggressive player, especially within the Soviet School. Important contributions to opening theory as well, particularly in the Ruy Lopez.

This is all very exciting!

Feb-07-11
Premium Chessgames Member
  jessicafischerqueen: lol

I just re-read your post and saw you already had suggested <Bronstein>.

ahahah I spent several minutes reading the LIST and pondering before I wrote my post.

Incidentally <Tryfon> do you have the book "The Soviet School of Chess" by Kotov and Yudovich?

If you don't have it, I recommend it highly- it has a lot of explanatory and theoretical text to go along with the annotated examples games.

And it has some rare photographs as well.

Anyways I read it all the time. It would probably take me 500 years to go through every annotated game, so maybe I get to read it forever.

Best regards,
Jess
