Jul-22-09  PinnedPiece: <<Ed Trice> Chess Forum Recent Traffic>

<<<<>>>Jul-22-09 Ed Trice: <Contact Einar again, and ask him to send an email disavowing what he supposedly sent to Mister Labate> Your task list is endless.

First you said <In the "3-month later" email, what was the nature of the email? If Einarsson indeed sent it to you, was it a friendly email? Can you provide some evidence for such a claim?>

I provided "evidence" for this claim, and you have yet to acknowledge this.

This is typical of ALL of the nay-sayers out there.

You say something. I respond. You change the requirements.

Whatever happened to Labate's "I'll pay anyone $1,000 for proof this book exists?"

Or Rob Mitchell's "the Lawrence Day Toronto Star article" doesn't exist?

Both nonsense was refuted, and yet I see no acknowledgement of their mistakes.

Like I said before, if you, and others, can't admit when your simple requests have been met, you will get nothing else out of me.

If you can't admit the simple things, you won't come close to acknowledging the more complex.

Jul-22-09
Ed Trice: There is something else you need to know about Einar. He and Fischer WERE NOT CLOSE at the end of Fischer's life. He was spurned and prevented from attending Fischer's funeral. Bobby burned all of his bridges. When I called Fridrik Olafsson to wish Bobby a happy 64th birthday for me the next time he saw him, Fridrik said he forgot it was Bobby's birthday, he hadn't seen him in a while, and he didn't know when he might see him again.

It's just the way he was.

Ed Trice: <PinnedPiece> I find it interesting that the person who made this post http://z3.invisionfree.com/TheFisch... also seems to leave a trailing "." far below his text, where it does not belong, very much like you do here. I can also guess that you are "GeneM" of CastleLong.com.>
**

The arguments above carry no logical imperative whatsoever. Even if Einar was steaming at Fischer like an Icelandic geothermal fissure, there is no explanation for defending his honor against someone else's supposed "betrayal."

(**I don't expect my reply--which doesn't merit repeating--to such a clueless claim on his page to remain long. It causes one to suspect his other statements are equally clueless, unfortunately for him.)

and finally:

Jul-22-09  robmtchl: Has anyone found proof that the 400k dollar donation to the Bobby Fischer Chess Museum exists? Or the 250k of his own money exists?
Jul-22-09  Jim Bartle: I think you know the answer to that, Rob.
Jul-22-09  PinnedPiece: From Ed Trice Forum:

<<<>Jul-22-09 <PinnedPiece: <Ed Trice: seems to leave a trailing "." far below his text, where it does not belong, very much like you do here. I can also guess that you are "GeneM" of CastleLong.com.>

Well, guess you found me. My characteristic kibitz closer was carefully chosen so as to be non-duplicable, and here I completely forgot myself while posting whatever it was on your new site. And I even used my middle name, and wife's maiden name initial, a dead giveaway. But now I'll have to go check what I said. Be sure and check the serverlogs: I am going now, so look for the guest IP address that shows up at exactly 1:10pm CDT July 22. That will confirm absolutely that I am (who was it...ah) GeneM. >>

Jul-23-09  PinnedPiece: Sorry Mr M16MG about spamming up the place, but....
From the <Ed Trice> Chessforum

===
<<<<>>>Jul-23-09 Ed Trice: <PinnedPiece> Labate never showed Einar's email address. He has "text" from him, but never displayed the email where it came from. I did.

I sent that same email to Lothar Schmid, who was the match referee for both Fischer world championship matches. I sent the same email to Fridrik Olafsson, who met me the first time I went to Iceland.

There is no disputing this.

Now, I want you to explain, with your infallible logic...

IF Einarsson was so "pissed" at me, how do you explain the email that I have posted?

You saw that Einarsson took nearly 3 months to reply to my email. He doesn't write back very quickly.

Yet somehow, according to you, I wrote an email to him on November 8 asking for an unpublished photo of Fischer, he complied, and on November 9 that photo was on the cover of the book?

I still haven't seen Einarson post that spoofed email anywhere, unless it's yet another Labate or Riverbeast creation that you continue to swallow, hook, line, and sinker.

You acutally believe what you want, and you don't care for the facts, don't you, PinnedPiece?

Still waiting to hear about your marvelous accomplishments. Gene.

Jul-23-09
Ed Trice: <But I can now clearly see that he ran away from your deal as fast as he could> What a crock! Ran way? As fast as he could?

Gee, no bias in those statements!

I raised money. I documented this. I wanted to use it for a Fischer Museum. I consulted with three people and asked where it should be located.

The universal consensus was Iceland. There already was one such project well underway, that I was not aware of. The people who donated wanted it in Brooklynn. After some time, they decided to disban the project unless Fischer received a presidential pardon.

That is what we are working towards right now.

Jul-23-09

PinnedPiece: <You saw that Einarsson took nearly 3 months to reply to my email. He doesn't write back very quickly.> You sent your proposal Dec 29, 2007, it says so in the Big Mac Cap in your own link. Einarsson's reply is dated Feb 26, 2008 if we are to believe it was actually sent (which I do).

Let's see, that's, umm, 59 days (had to use fingers and toes a couple times there) and it doesn't add up to 3 months.

To repeat: 59 days <> 3 months. If you think it does, one has to wonder about those programming accomplishments of yours, since math skills figure pretty prominently in any such ability.

<Ed> as far as I can see, all your facts fall short of validation. As for "Gene M", if you think his gibberish post (I can't even make out what his point is--but its amazing how the other kibitzers seem to get it right away!!!) is equivalent to the crystal clear, ineluctable logic I use in my communications with you, one has to wonder about the possibilities of early onset senility in your genes.>

...I can't trust Trice to leave all the thread intact. .

chancho: Can you picture Donald Trump trying to convince anyone of the things he's ever done in his life? He met Michael Jackson and many other celebrities, and all the pictures are out there. Trice says he met Fischer, but not one single picture to prove what he says. Trice said he was offered a deal for his Gothic chess by Trump. Is there a single picture of his meeting with the Donald? Why does he keep doing this to himself?
Jul-23-09  Jim Bartle: That's unfair, piggy. You know darn well there's no lens in the world powerful enough to capture two such large egos in a single image.
Jul-23-09
Premium Chessgames Member
chancho: <Jim> I agree, two large egos.

One is believable, the other?

NOT!

Jul-23-09  Jim Bartle: Actually, of all the Trice BS, the Trump contact seems the most believable. Trump buys up Gothic chess, renames it Trump chess (of course), and goes on to market it as his great intellectual contribution. He might have renamed one of the new pieces the Donald. (Each game could end, "You're mated!")

Trump might have paid Trice a lot of money, but I'll bet he would have buried Trice's name where nobody would ever hear it. Would have been one of the conditions. Sort of like the Seinfeld episode where J. Peterman can't think of what to put in his autobiography, so he purchases Kramer's life story. And Kramer can't tell stories any more.

It fits.

Jul-23-09  capatal: <Ode to 'Fast Eddie'>

Jul-23-09  robmtchl: Edward Labate, like most people, will not include someones private email address in a posting, out of courtesy, without that persons permission.

We have seen no proof or documentation regarding the Fischer Museum. Only claims there is one.

Presidential pardon? I am sure a collaboration with Sam Sloan is in the works here. Where is the tangible proof? Where is the documentation of contacts?

Where is the proof the bookstore had six copies of M61MG? Where is the receipt showing a purchase of the last copies?

Jul-23-09
Premium Chessgames Member
chancho: 1.No proof of meeting Fischer.

2.No proof Fischer wrote M61MGH.

3.No proof of overturning the verdict in Labate lawsuit.

4.No proof of a video Trice said he was going to upload and make Labate "feel the heat."

5.No Proof that M61MGH books were ever sold in a bookstore.

The general consensus is that if Trice's lies were money, he'd be rich! Ka ching!

Jul-23-09  PinnedPiece: Further spam, apologies &ct., but <Ed> is finally starting to make sense, I'm thinking, his explanations begin to ring true; at any rate I hear a loud ringing...

Jul-23-09
Ed Trice: 2 is right next to 3 on the keyboard. Wasn't worth deleting to repost. The fact you made a big deal over it was entertainment enough for me. I'd also like you to explain how using a Macintosh for email (the only OS I've never had a virus on, can you say the same?) has anything to do with programming ability, and computer savvy. I have 12 PC cores computing the 10-piece DTW tablebase for the game of checkers.

So, if you are so good at math, can you tell me how many different positions there are on a 32 square checkerboard where one side has 5 checkers, and so does the other side?

Enlighten me, oh great mathematician. Feel free to annotate your calculation.

Jul-23-09
Ed Trice: And tell me, why is my 64-bit move generator for checkers over 3.6 times as fast as a 32-bit move generator? There are only 32 squares on a checkerboard where the pieces can reside, so how can a 64-bit move generator outperform a 32-bit one? My 64-bit move generator is only about 1/5th as many instructions as a 32-bit move generator. Care to explain?

Jul-23-09

PinnedPiece: <Ed Trice: Care to explain?> OK. I concede. Your computers are better and faster than me on my fingers and toes. And RISC architecture does magical things. And Macs are the inventor's choice. And You are a Great Software Architect and I am a presumptive nothing comprised of a series of null sets. What if I CONCEDE ALL THAT...what will you say to THIS:

<Contact Einar again, and ask him to send an email disavowing what he supposedly sent to Mister Labate. Post that pic on your big Mac. When you do that, we will have an interesting case on our hands.

Until then, you are working what little bits of the story remain for you to work in a hopeless cause. The ship has struck an iceberg, its listing 39 degress, only the band remains on deck, and <you> are stuffing towels under your cabin door...that isn't going to get the job done.>

NOTE: The list has increased!!!**

**Any other person in the world following this case would argue that the hull has already turtled.

Is this some kind of message to the forum host that the book needs a new name? How inhospitable do you want the place to be?

Keep in mind that if proponents of the book's legitimacy cannot comfortably engage the critics here, they are likely to spread all over tarnation (witness the new discussion site at [address withheld in hegemonous attempt to prevent competition]).

Jul-24-09  robmtchl: Before you can legally raise money for a not for profit foundation you should have a FEIN. Does one exist and if so what is it?
Jul-24-09  MageOfMaple: I know that when I looked for the "Gothic Chess Federation", which at one point represented itself as a corporation, I discovered that there was no such business incorporated in any of the 50 states. Now the Gothic Chess website no longer makes any claims to legitimacy at all - the company info is a dead link. All you get is a cell phone number and an aol address. As an aside, how many real businessmen have you known that have represented themselves with an aol address in the last five years?
Jul-24-09  robmtchl: It is amazing to me that when M61MG is mentioned to someone who "knows" something about chess, they always add 'the fraud book'. Many will also name the suspected author in the same breath.

It's obvious to most casual observers that few sane persons could believe that Fischer had anything to do with this 700+ page pamphlet than to consider it's production as a waste of good bird cage lining.

Jul-24-09  Jim Bartle: Ed Trice just now at his chessforum ("the ones" refers to Pinned Piece's posts):

chancho: <Ed Trice: 2 is right next to 3 on the keyboard. Wasn't worth deleting to repost. The fact you made a big deal over it was entertainment enough for me.>

Typical Trice bs. <PinnedPiece> showed that Trice made a mistake when he said 3 months, and he tries to dismiss it with a lame responce. He did the same thing when he said to Jim he wont respond on the Fischer page, when in reality he said in an earlier post he can't post on the Fischer page because he was banned . I pointed it out, and he said he meant to type can't and made the mistake of typing wont.

Jul-24-09  PinnedPiece: More apparent spam from <Ed Trice> chessforum (really Ed, just engage me here! Anything clean and non-defamatory goes; you can ask that posts that insult you be deleted like anyone else can):

<<<<>>> Jul-24-09
Ed Trice: <PinnedPiece> no post of yours with wise ass remarks will survive, from now on.

If you are so good at math, and I am not, then why can't you simply tell me how many different positions there are on a 32 square squareboard where one side has 5 checkers, and the other side has 5 checkers?

Not only can I count them, I can write a mathematical formula that will count from 1 to this number, without skipping any numbers, and without duplicating any. This is not easy to do, and it is necessary for solving any tablebases. This is referred to as "indexing functions", and without the ability to turn every possible position into a unique number, you can't solve tablebases.

Indexing rectangular boards for Gothic Chess is even more complex, due to fewer symmetry reductions possible.

That didn't prevent me from finding a mate in 268 moves in the 5-piece tablebase, which is longer than the longest win in the 6-piece tablebase for 8x8 chess.

http://www.gothicchess.com/endings/...

Jul-24-09
PinnedPiece: <Ed Trice: <PinnedPiece> no post of yours with wise ass remarks will survive, from now on.> Then you actually need to delete them all.

Jul-24-09
Ed Trice: <PinnedPiece> I allow the ones that make you seem even more foolish to stay. No more comments about my programming ability? Wow. You seemed so sure of yourself previously.

>various iterative algorithms<

Jul-24-09

PinnedPiece: <ET>I'd use a lot more recursion than you appear to be doing in your code, for a start, but I HAVE NEVER DOUBTED your programming skill. The Mac comment was dripping in sarcasm. And I do not challenge any of your accomplishments in game design or database design.

===-===-===THE PROBLEM===-===-===

Here is my problem with you:

1. You are closely involved with what is now called the Fischer book scam.

2. You yourself have implied several times that it is a scam.

3. All the evidence points to your use of multiple accounts under different names to "talk up" the M61MG book, especially for drumming up interest in sales.

4. Although you have a few undeniable points that you offer up, about various people (including yourself) predicting in 2007 Fischer's medical problems and death, these facts <lead nowhere that any rational person can follow>, especially not to any exoneration of your actions (see next).

5. You have not supplied important missing information about your role in the entire affair.

6. You continue to push the book, as in the recent World Open skittles table sales.

7. You continue to manufacture false evidence that the book is somehow legitimate (as in "for sale in the bookstore" when you meant "I am standing in the bookstore and will sell you a copy").

8. You fail to even attempt to answer legitimate and serious questions posed by <chancho>, <jim bartle>, <me>, and many others who initially had open minds (just read their early posts) about what was going on

9. You apparently continue to troll for potential purchasers of what the general concensus in the chess community calls a fraud

10. Your method of defending your activities is to attempt to counter-defame, or expose in some way, or even just invent facts, about those who annoyingly are getting in your way

11. Your social skills are deteriorating, and are even embarrassing, in the way you shmooze up to those powerful individuals you feel you can still influence but viciously attack skeptics of little consequence

12. Rather than meet head-on such accusations made by Einar Einarsson and others who knew Fischer well by engaging <them>, you choose to challenge legitimate questioners with tangential riddles whose solutions don't answer to the major issues anyway.

In past posts I have offered you a smorgasbord of options to start from, to describe what you really did to aid M61MG's publication; your avoidance of any such discussion is very telling.

I have a mental image of you pulling on a rope to drag the other side across the "believe me" line. However, the force of the pull from dozens of skeptics and outright accusers has long ago, easily, pulled you over and down into the mudpit.

[No sarcasm in the above.]

>.>

Jul-24-09  MageOfMaple: Watch out, <PP>, or Ed will ignore (block) you as he does with most of us.

And we all know, because we're blocked. We know that we're blocked.

Trice only talks in forums he controls, like his "invisionfree" forum, the last bastion of safety where he can delete, falsify, and impersonate at will. He posted messages as me ("ChessV", my chess program) defending *HIM*, like I would do that, and then when I said it wasn't me, he edited my posts, said the IP addresses were similar and it was me (why would I defend him and deny it?), and the exchange was witnessed by several.

Trice is clearly at rock bottom. If he had one shread of self-respect, he would just move on. He's full of crap. We know he's full of crap. He knows we know. And he knows that the evidence is all out there and is overwhelming. Dozens of verifyable lies. Like the fact that his "company" doesn't exist. And his "tournaments" didn't happen. These are facts. He continues because he knows that he has no other hope but to desperately try to make something out of the boxes of Fischer forgeries in his basement. He knows it, we know it, he knows we know it.

He does have pride. If he had the slightest bit of running room, he would have taken it. With his intellect, he could be well on his way to revolutionizing Axis & Allies the way he revolutionized Chess, and be moving in another world of potential suckers.
