Behold the fiery disk of Ra!

Started with tournaments right after the first Fischer-Spassky set-to, but have long since given up active play in favour of poker.

In my chess playing days, one of the most memorable moments was playing fourth board on the team that won the National High School championship at Cleveland, 1977. Another which stands out was having the pleasure of playing a series of rapid games with Mikhail Tal on his first visit to the USA in 1988. Even after facing a number of titled players, including Teimour Radjabov when he first became a GM (he still gave me a beating), these are things which I'll not forget.

Fischer at his zenith was the greatest of all champions for me, but has never been one of my favourite players. In that number may be included Emanuel Lasker, Bronstein, Korchnoi, Larsen, Speelman, Romanishin, Nakamura and Carlsen, all of whom have displayed outstanding fighting qualities.

perfidious: <FSR>, that explains why the monstah assessed the position after 18.Rxd3 as favouring White despite his material deficit. I did not see that neat variation which, of course, <fishie> would not have overlooked. Black would have been taken to valuetown.
