Behold the fiery disk of Ra!

Started with tournaments right after the first Fischer-Spassky set-to, but have long since given up active play in favour of poker.

In my chess playing days, one of the most memorable moments was playing fourth board on the team that won the National High School championship at Cleveland, 1977. Another which stands out was having the pleasure of playing a series of rapid games with Mikhail Tal on his first visit to the USA in 1988. Even after facing a number of titled players, including Teimour Radjabov when he first became a GM (he still gave me a beating), these are things which I'll not forget.

Fischer at his zenith was the greatest of all champions for me, but has never been one of my favourite players. In that number may be included Emanuel Lasker, Bronstein, Korchnoi, Larsen, Speelman, Romanishin, Nakamura and Carlsen, all of whom have displayed outstanding fighting qualities.

Besides sitting across the board from Tal, I have a Lasker number of three and twos for world champions from Capablanca through Carlsen.

Yet another detractor of anyone not as himself gets a taste (assuming this accusation has any truth to it) and he refers to it as 'victimisation'.

Worst tale of woe I've ever heard; break out the violins!!

perfidious: From he who longs for those days of the short bus which have long since flown:

<jussie kudzu the prolix: Just <LOOK> at how all these Antifa libs have trolled this <support forum> page to death. When they don't get their way, they throw themselves down on the floor, kicking and screaming, tearing down statues, smashing windows, looting and carrying on.

Like spoiled children.>

What <would> his raison d'etre be without such classic bits of projection?

The Rogovian miasma is being dismantled, apparently much to his delight, yet he is whingeing on and on, in the manner of his hero.

perfidious: <saffuna: Nobody was "run off" the (Rogoff) page. The conservatives just moved to a place where they wouldn't be bothered by pesky liberals.>

Curious, is it not how those who took their leave from things when the going got hot have portrayed this whole business as being 'run off' when no-one forced them to do anything, this coming after years of one poster in particular (<kudzu the virus>) proclaiming on innumerable occasions that he was 'lording it over the libs'.

'Member that one, do ya, <heart attack giver>?

chancho: Bennie was "desperately ill," and he noted that he has "several co-morbidities"

<Ben Carson: "President Trump was following my condition and cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy [Regeneron] that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life," Carson wrote. He said he is now "out of the woods.">

That's wonderful. Really. Now, where was this therapy for the 1,900 Americans who died yesterday?

perfidious: If Bennie baby can beat this thing, anyone can--sound familiar? Maybe that self-centred cretin should regale a few surviving relatives of those with lesser means with his epic tale of heroism; moreover, he can explain how he has the 'right stuff' and they did not.

Here are a few facts:

✔️ No court has delayed the counting of a single ballot.

✔️ No court has thrown out a single ballot that had already been counted.

✔️ No court has delayed the certification of county/state results for even a single minute.

Joe Biden has won this election.>

perfidious: <saffuna: Giuliani got slapped down hard in the Pennsylvania case:

<"One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption, such that this Court would have no option but to regrettably grant the proposed injunctive relief despite the impact it would have on such a large group of citizens. That has not happened. Instead, this Court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations, unpled in the operative complaint and unsupported by evidence">>

Same as his master, Giuliani apparently believed his say-so would be enough to see him home.

Guess he bet on the wrong horse this trip.
