WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

WannaBe: Minor bug turns iOS 8.3 emoji to aliens:

http://money.cnn.com/2015/04/09/tec...

Touch ID bug:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonk...

Also, iOS 8.4 is scheduled to release late(r) April or early May. I have updated my iPad (IT testing purposes), but my opinion for others is to wait for 8.4 and see what else Apple will manage to break, before upgrading.

Penguincw: Hey <WannaBe>, congrats on hitting 30K! Using Search Kibitz, this is the post I found to be your 30000th: Jeremy Lim (kibitz #7881).

Unfortunately, my kibitz/day ratio says I won't be hitting 10K until June, but I'm working on it. :)

  WannaBe: Next year...
Apr-09-15  Mating Net: So depressing, but I need a team for this year. The Stanley Cup playoffs are too great not to have a rooting interest to follow. St. Louis? They've never won, maybe the hockey gods owe them.

WannaBe: K. you take the Blues and I'll root for the 'New' North Stars.
Apr-09-15  Mating Net: It's a deal <WannaBe> not happy about, but it's the best we got. Looks like the the Blues & the new North Stars might play each other in the 1st round, more early misery for one of us.

WannaBe: Here an interesting contrast of wage and location:

Seattle: http://thinkprogress.org/economy/20...

Oakland: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/feeling...

http://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/...

The contrast of two cities, in this case Seattle and Oakland where demographics, technology, and gross earning are just about different as day is to night.

On one side, the proponents will say: "Hey, look at Seattle or San Francisco. Success!! Let's apply this to other places."

The other side will say: "Hey, look at Oakland and people are getting hurt, business owners and employees that will be laid off."

Here is an article by LA Times on San Jose's wage hike: (Article is dated Feb 2015, SJ raised min. wage 2013)

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-...

So, who really got the benefits of higher hourly wage?

Apr-10-15  Mating Net: Market forces are the best arbiters of the minimum wage, not the government.

The pictures are stunning, the words are sobering. http://www.latimes.com/local/califo...

WannaBe: Saw the movie Seventh Son with J. Bridges and J. Moore, nice to see them two in the same movie again. =)

Nothing else to report about this movie, if you wish to waste 2 hours of your time, go ahead.

But it's entertaining BS.

WannaBe: <chancho> Believe it or not, never seen any of the Fast/Furious (FF). I did watch the 3 Riddicks, after your comments. Quite entertaining, especially me being a SciFi movie critic.

One of the article I read, was how they did the car out of the plane scene, all the camera work had to coordinated just right, and they had to wear special coloured jump suits so it can CG'd out later.

chancho: I've seen the Riddick flicks.

Vin Diesel is never going to win an academy award, but his movies are fun.
