Benzol: This seems to be the only game between these two in the database. As far as I know they met on six occasions with the score being Capablanca +2; Tarrasch +1 and 3 games being drawn. I'm not sure whether Capa's win against Tarrasch in Berlin 1928 is included in this as the Doctor withdrew from the Tournament and his score was annulled.

Calli: Yes, the Berlin win is included in the career JRC's 2-1-3 career record. The win was annulled for purposes of the tournament, but is considered a valid game. The Tarrasch win is famous for Capa's blunder. It came right after his defeat by Lasker at St. Peterburg in 1914. It was the only time in his career Capa had consecutive losses.

Calli: Oops, I meant consecutive tournament losses. Capablanca had consecutive losses against Corzo and Alekhine in match play.
