Apr-24-03  suenteus po 147: Excellent variation. Here we see the exact same game as Alekhine vs de Agustin M, 1941 but this time Alekhine has defended against 21...Qxc5+. You have to go way back to stop Alekhine in this version.
Aug-25-04  InspiredByMorphy: 4. ... Bd6 looks better to me.

An Englishman: Good Evening: I.B.M., what about 4...Be6? 4...Bd6 is a lot better than 4...Nc6, but it allows 5.Nc3,Nf6; 6.Bc4 or Bg5.
Sep-11-04  Knight13: White is attacking the king, while black is killing pieces for nothing.
Sep-11-04  meloncio: This game was played in the first days of december 1941, in the social halls of Real Madrid Football Club. And it was not a simul, but a six-players little competition named "Alekhine Tournament". Source: MORAN P., "The Agony of a Genius".
Sep-11-04  Lawrence: <meloncio>, great to see you back. Hope you didn't freeze to death up there.
Sep-12-04  meloncio: <Lawrence> Thanks Lorenzo. Freeze? I think you're exaggerating about the weather in Burgos and Santander, my wife's homeland. They have good food, splendid monuments and landscapes, but a little cold to stay on the beach and have a swim. You can't get it all, you know ... ;-))
