AdrianP: 21. Nb4!! was a pretty stunning way to draw. According to Gazza, this was a crowd-pleaser and he could have equalized prosaically with Qxg3...

Apr-21-04   nikolaas: <weepingwarrior> Well...That's not much, but for that move it's enough.

  Hesam7: What are Black's options beside 12... e4 ?

tamar: 12...Qc7 looks playable. Chessbase gives 3 or 4 correspondence games. 1 win 1 loss others draws.

The main point is that White cannot push the knight off f6 with 13 g5 because of 13...exf4

Hesam7: <tamar> that move looks a natural choice. My engine thinks 12... Bd7 is good too. I have a feeling that Anand's piece sac is not sound.

It is interesting that Kasparov has always avoided the Prenyi attack.

Jun-01-06   spirit: me thinks GAZZA was more concerned with creating beauty...Anand saw this and accepted the draw rather than taking the dark horse...
Jun-16-09   Makiavel: he cannot take the knight coz there's mate in two!!!!
