tpstar: Incredible that Bogoljubov blundered a piece (18 ... Ba3?? 19. Bxh5 Qxc3 20. bxa3), then lost the exchange (27. Nc5), then played on a full Rook down with no compensation. Bad blood between these two?
Apr-27-04  fred lennox: <Bad blood between these two?> Na, Bogoljubow is an optimist. Not even defeat dents it. Najdorf was one too and he had his own ideas about resigning. It's hard to censure them, it's part of thier talent.
Nov-27-05  aw1988: Taimanov too was known to be optimistic. But when there was danger, he knew how to get out of it...
Dec-30-12  Marmot PFL: Maroczy was 61 and Bogo figured he could outlast him.
