Honza Cervenka: 48...g5 was a big help to white but the ending of Knight against Bishop is already difficult and probably lost anyway. 52.Bxb5! was a nice winning coup which reminds the fourth game of candidate match of Bobby Fischer with Mark Taimanov.
Jun-18-18  Omnipotent00001: 53. Kxg5 is mate in 33 moves

Fusilli: Great game. As Karpovian as it can be.

Karpov played principled, ending up with a strong bishop vs a knight in a wide open position, which highlights how weak the knight is.

I liked 30.Qd4!

Karpov is threatening the simple 31.b3, which would give him huge advantage. If 31...Nb6 32.Rd6 Rb8 and look at this:

White has space and black has trouble moving.

Or 31...Nxa3 32.Rd7 Qc1 (Qc5 or Qc3 lose immediately to Rd8+ Kh7 Bd3+) 33.Qa7 Rf8 34.Qxa6:

Now the knight is on the rim and the b-pawn is quite weak.
