Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-05-05  offramp: After move 14 Spassky has a well-developed position. Perhaps he should have played 15.N4g5, so as to avoid the exchange of knights. That might have won.
Apr-05-08  Knight13: Me was thinking of 15...Nd5 but that's too inviting <offramp>'s N4g5 and looks bad. Like 15...Nd5 16. N4g5 Bg4 (trade a knight off) followed by ...Nf4 or ...Nb4 maybe but then 16...Bxg6!? scares me.
Mar-08-09  sillybilly47: Spassky just "mails this game in." No life. I do understand that the loss in the previous game hurt, but this makes two very poor efforts in a row.
Jul-01-09  sillybilly47: How often in this match is Spassky not able to get anything started? Petrosian is always able to fall back on his great dfensive acumen.
Jul-01-09  WhiteRook48: 14 Ne4-g5 looks intriguing. But Petrosian is a great defensive player and probably wouldn't lose (ok, "he's a great defensive player" is an understatement.)
Jul-03-09  sillybilly47: 14 Ne4-g5 does look interesting at that.
