Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-03-05  admiralnemo: Rubinstein gets owned using his own opening.
Mar-15-12  optimal play: Swiderski fends off threats aimed down both the c&h files but I think Rubinstein's mistake may have been 30.Rc5? The d-file pawn was a useful blockade and he should have used it to push forward. I would have preferred maybe 30.Qf3 creating threats with Qh5 or Qb7. White was caught badly off-guard in the end and after 36.Kh3 it's simply 36...Qf1+ 37.Qg2 g4+ wins or 37.Kg4 f5#
Dec-07-20  MordimerChess: I think it's the best way to learn the foundations of well-known openings. Queens Gambit and Isolated Queen Pawn, main ideas, and strategies. How to play them - or maybe like in this case - how not to play them.
