The simple 35...a4 looks good enough.

Mar-17-07  Vollmer: 35...a4 36.Qd5-Qc4(...a3 37.Bd8-Rxd8 38.Rxd8-Bxd8 37.Qxd8+ Kf7 38.Qd7+ Qe7 (Kg6 leads to mate for White)39.Qxb5-Qa7 and it looks like Black queens the a pawn)37.Qb7-Qc8 38.Qa7-Qa8 and again Black queens .

Who says there is no luck in chess ?

Indeed - if you replace the words "Bobby Fischer" with "K Walters" - at least in this case.

No disrespect towards BF intended.

Dec-01-10  M.D. Wilson: I assume tentsewang was being facetious.
Mar-04-13  shakespeare: 35.a4 and Bobby could have resigned on the spot
Mar-04-13  lost in space: Good game from Mr. Walters. His 35...Qxe4 reminds me lot how I lose/lost my won games.
Mar-04-13  Garech: Man, Walters was inches from immortality!
