Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-24-03  refutor: here's basically what amounts to a grandmaster draw between the marshall attack's biggest modern proponent (adams) and the only top level GM who will allow the marshall (polgar).
Mar-08-05  ArturoRivera: no other GM allows black to play the marshall gambit?
Mar-08-05  Karpova: kramnik allows it, too.
Mar-09-05  ArturoRivera: by playing what you decline the marshall atack?
Mar-09-05  Shams: <ArturoRivera> I think the biggest anti-Marshall lines are 8.a4 and 8. h3

but at my level (patzer) I find that many players will barge ahead with ...d5 anyway. it hurts to play an anti-marshall and then lose to the marshall. :(

Also I think Leko plays both sides of it, so he allows it too. I could be wrong.

Mar-10-05  ArturoRivera: The marshall rules, those drawish masters should face it always!
