Bf7!!) leading to the win of three pawns and a decisive attack against the Black King wasn't on my radar in attempting to solve today's Saturday puzzle. The pawn fork sham sacrifice (i.e. 37. d7!) follow-up deflects the Knight away from the action, and prepare the winning clearance move 38. e5! After 38. e5!, Black is hopelessly lost in a mating net. For example if 38...Rg8, then 39. Qf5 Be2 40. Rd6 +- is crushing. The reply 38...Qxe5, allowing 39. Nxe5 +-, was apparently Black's way of admitting the obvious and resigning.
