Open Defence: actually by move 11 it looked more like a Petroff than a King's Gambit
Aug-10-08  whiteshark: "I couldn't find anything special against the Petroff Defence and so I decided to play something else." --Navara

Try 2.Qh5 next time, David.

Aug-11-08  dumbgai: Come on David, if you're going to play the King's Gambit you might as well play 3. Nf3 to sharpen the game up. On the other hand it's good to see an occasional king's gambit at the top level.
Dec-08-08  Ychromosome: dumbgai, Fischer played 3.Bc4 a bit in the King's Gambit.
Aug-24-09  AbhinavAsthana: <Marmot PFL> Very funny, I agree with you.
Aug-24-09  AbhinavAsthana: <dumbgai:3. Nf3 to sharpen the game up> I believe 3.Bc4 is as sharp as 3.Nf3 Nf3 just makes the game <bit> more positional.
