Dec-03-18  lost in space: I love Mondays!

28...Bh3+ 29. Kxh3 (only move) Qf1#

played with a dirty laugh

Dec-03-18  landshark: Not being able to sac the Queen put me on my heels for a few minutes -

HeMateMe: deflection! I first looked at blocking the Queen with 1...R-e4 with various threats, then 1...B-h3+ jumped right out at me.
Dec-03-18  agb2002: Black has a bishop for a knight and a pawn.

White threatens Qxf5.

Black can deliver mate in two with 23... Bh3+ 24.Kxh3 Qf1#.

al wazir: 22. Nf2 was necessary. But black still wins.
Dec-03-18  jffun1958: very smart.

  Dionysius1: 22.♔f2 = . The weaknesses on e2 and h2 are easily defended by shuffling the K between f2 and g1.
Dec-03-18  malt: A Bishop sac, and 24...Qf1#
Dec-03-18  cocker: Could have started a move earlier.
Dec-03-18  schachfuchs: Nice mating pattern!
Dec-03-18  AlicesKnight: Pretty; ....Bh3+ sucks the White K into a dead space.

  HeMateMe: Wei got the beat!
Dec-03-18  whiteshark: This is what happens when you couldn't safeguard your 'hinterland'.
Dec-03-18  Squire49: Quite taxing for a Monday! No queen, no rook sac works. Took abour 3 minutes:-).

Domdaniel: <cocker> is correct -- the mating sequence and puzzle could have begun a move earlier after White's 23rd.

Then it's 23.Qxe5 Qe1+ 24.Kg2 Bh3+ 24.Kxh3 Qf1#

gawain: A stunning combination! White is helpless. Very nice.
Dec-03-18  ChessHigherCat: <Walter Glattke: First I found 23.Re4, wins material.>

I looked at that first, too, but it doesn't work because if 23. Re4??? fxe4 24. Qxe2 Nf2!

Dec-03-18  BOSTER: <HeMateMe>:<deflecton!>. Really this is a tactic to lure into-decoy.
